12 Kits of Occasion ~ May

Well, here we are again at the end of another month and that means it's time for the 12 Kits of Occasion gals to post their beautiful creations using this months super adorable kit from Nancy Penir of Artful Notions.

I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Nancy this past March when a group of us went to the Craft House in Newton, Kansas and Nancy is a true gem at heart and incredibly talented.  All of her cards are little pieces of art and her kit this month was a tribute to her country loving heart and her "girls" titled "You're A Good Egg".

Thank you Nancy, for such a fun-filled kit!  I had so much fun playing with all the darling images and sweet papers.

Nancy has two guest designers that are both near and dear to my heart this month so I hope you'll visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how the other gals were inspired by Nancy's fun kit.

Happy Day! ~ TupeloDesignsLLC Guest Designer

Good morning friends ~ TupeloDesignsLLC recently had a design team call and I was invited to be a guest designer for the next two months and I couldn't be more thrilled!  Their store offers a wide variety of brand name products at great prices.

While I wait for my design team package to arrive in the mail, I thought I'd use one of the stamp sets I recently purchased from them to create this cute card for my announcement post.
Waffle Flower ~ Happy Day has so many adorable images to create whimsical scenes like this one.   I thought the little guy riding the bicycle was a groundhog, but it turns out that I think he's supposed to be a bear.  Either way, he's fuzzy and chubby, a right happy ol' fella.
I used this little cart filled with flowers to carry the theme of the card to the inside.

There's a sale going on right now on all Waffle Flower products so pedal on over to check them out.

Here's a list of products I used that can be found in the store:
Waffle Flower ~ Happy Day Stamp Set
Waffle Flower ~ Happy Day Dies
Crushed Olive Distress Ink
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Copic Markers

I do hope you'll visit TupeloDesignsLLC to see all that they have to offer.

PTI May Blog Hop & Make-It Monday Challenge

Good morning friends.  I'm still alive, just super busy with life.  I found time earlier this week to make this card for the PTI Blog Hop and Make-it Monday Challenge.
I used an old piece of gingham design paper and added stamps from Stitching Garden and a sentiment from Brushed Birds.
Inspiration photo

Our weather here has been sunny and warm so I'm spending lots of time outside, playing in the flower beds.  Spring is my favorite time of the year!
Remember to thank our vets this weekend.  Pray for all those who serve our country and for those who've lost loved ones.

Under the Wire

I'm getting two cards in under the wire for two challenges that are closing in just a few hours.  Why do I do that??

This card is for the challenge going on at Inspired By All the Little Things.  I used Stitching Garden from PTI.

I was clearly inspired by the barnwood background and beautiful flowers.

This card  was made using the colors from The Paper Players.  I used Orchids by Cottage Cutz and a verse from PTI.
I'll also be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
AAA Cards ~ Inspired By Nature

Country Style Flower Sprays

Good morning ~  I'm playing along with this month's Create Along With Us with Papertrey Ink.  I was inspired by the amazingly talented Michelle Leone and her cards found here.

I used Gran's Garden for the floral sprays.  Pretty papers from chicken Scratch Gingham Paper Collection and the Polka Dot Basics II Impression Plate for the background.

Sweet as Honey

Good morning paper crafting friends ~  I've been enjoying playing with these darling bee sets from Honey Bee Stamps.

They have a Honey Cuts Die that cuts these cute Bee Hive shaped cards and you can choose whether you want a door to open to reveal a little surprise or you can leave the front of the card solid.
On this card I chose to have it open to show off this happy little honey bee from Happy Fall Y'all

There's also a Honey Bee Hive Stencils & Mask set that includes 4 stencils that you can use to add more detail and color to your bee hive.  I used the Hello Honey Cuts on this card to create the triple layered sentiment.  Love that!

I wanted to use just the stencil on this card along  with the Hello Honey Cuts to create a hidden message.

Again, I used the bees and sunflower from

And one final project using this set is a Bible Journaling entry:
I stenciled the Bee Hive using the Honey Bee Hive Stencils & Mask onto a piece of vellum and used different alphabet and sentiment stamps to create the verse.

I'll be entering one of these cards to the following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge ~ Honey, I'm Home
AAA Cards ~ Inspired By Nature
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Swimming By.....

Welcome back to my blog friends, and thanks for stopping by.   ~  Today's card is a tribute to my love for all things oceany.  That's a real word, right?  As much as I love the ocean, I never go in the water except maybe just to get my feet wet.  I'm afraid of what lurks swims underneath.

Maybe if I knew that darling little mermaids like this one from HoneyBee Stamps Swimming By swam around protecting timid visitors like me, I wouldn't be so afraid.

I cut her out using the coordinating Honey Cuts Dies and colored this darling little mermaid using Copic markers. I gave her a generous dose of Clear Wink Of Stella to really make her shine.

For the card base, I created this fun blended and stenciled background using Ocean Scene Builder Stencils and Distress Oxide inks in lots of Oceany colors like Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Wilted Violets.  A blend of ocean colored sequins  were added for a fun finishing touch.

I hope you'll take some time today to visit Honey Bee Stamps and check out their complete line of ocean themed products.  Plus they just had a new release  full of the cutest stamps and dies.  So much fun going on at Honey Bee Stamps!

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters ~ Magical Fairy Garden
Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Ombre (blended background)
