Sea Glass Mason Jar

Hello friends~  Today's card was made for the Color Throwdown challenge.

When I saw the color inspiration picture, I immediately thought of sea glass.  And then sea glass made me think of blue Mason Jars.  And then blue Mason Jars made me think of this wonderful set from The Greetery, Just Mason Around.

You can't have an empty Mason Jar, it has to be filled with something, like maybe these Cotton Bolls from Cotton Comfort.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Bold Poppies ~ Double D

Hello stamplings~  I've got a card up today, for the new challenge starting over at Double D Challenges, where the theme is "Flowers of The Month".
The flowers for this challenge are:
July Larkspur, Delphinium or Water Lily
August Poppy or Gladiolus
September Aster or Morning Glory
October Cosmos or Marigold
November Chrysanthemum
December Paper White Narcissus or Holly
I chose Poppies!
I started by making the base of the card using Queen & Co. Lines die, cutting it from black cardstock.

I didn't have poppy dies to make a poppy.  Any flower die will do!  I used Sizzix Thinlits Floral Frame to make the flowers and to frame the sentiment in gold mirror cardstock.  The sentiment is from Penny Black "Grateful Heart".

I think the colors are very striking and bold but I love how it turned out.

Here's your inspiration photo:

Smiling Jack

Good morning.  I'm popping in with a quick post with a card I made for the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.  Good friends Darlene and Diane started this challenge several months ago and I think it's such a clever and fun name.

I used an "oldie but goodie" die for this card from Sizzix called "Pumpkin Toy".  It's been retired for quite some time, but it's still one of my favorites.  The "Boo" die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is their mood board:
I was inspired by that Jack 'O Lantern's big grin.

I hope you'll visit the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge blog to play along!

Sweet's For The Sweet!

Hello everyone!  I just wanted to pop on and share something sweet with you today.
Spellbinders recently had a brand new designer release and I seriously fell in love with the entire release!  I didn't buy the whole release, although I truly wanted to.  Tina Smith, whose work I've admired for a while now, has released the Sweet Street line and let me tell you, it is SWEET.

Look at this cute Party Cupcake Pocket Die.  The cupcake liner forms a pocket so the cupcake is removable.

You can add a fun, surprise message or you can remove the tabs and just use it as a cupcake.  See that cute little stitched tag with cherry?  That's also included in the set.  Isn't it sweet?

Card #2 uses The Sweet Shoppe Die Set.  Can't you just smell the sugar?  It's like walking through the door of the sweetest bakery and wanting one of everything.

Look at all the delectable goodies.  Are you hungry yet?  Yes, please!

You can find this entire release here.

Because Spellbinders loves their customers, they're currently giving $25 off orders of $100.  That's a 25% savings!

I'm also excited to share that Spellbinders has asked me to join their amazing design team!  So be on the lookout for more posts coming soon using their wonderful line of products.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:

Tropical Hello ~ TSOC

Happy Wednesday to you dear friends~  I'm so glad you've stopped in.  I've got a tropical cutie for you today!  The Sisterhood of Crafters is starting a new challenge today and we're challenging you to use "Spots and Stripes".  Sounds fun, yes??

I used this sweet Flamingo from Marianne Designs and added a few Palm Leaves from Echo Park.  The printed papers have been sitting in my closet of shame for a number of years.  I'm glad to finally have pulled them out to use them.

The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs

Flower's Of The Month Jan.-June ~ Double D

Hello everyone.  Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today
and the theme is
Flowers of the Month - January thru June

January: Carnations or Snowdrops
February: Violets or Primrose
March: Daffodils, Jonquils or Narcissus
April: Daisy, Sweet Pea or Gerber Daisy
May: Lily of the Valley or Hawthorne
June: Rose or Honeysuckle

I don't know what this Tim Holtz Bloom from Sizzix Colorize is supposed to be, but for this challenge, I'm calling it a carnation for the month of January.

I used Scrapbook.com Floral Smooth Cardstock for layering the flowers and leaves.  The colors coordinate perfectly and all the colors are in one pack, except for the yellow which is from the Warms Smooth Cardstock Collection.

Have A Dog-Gone Good Birthday! ~ DRU

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and if you recall, the theme is "Anything Goes" all year long!
This makes it so easy for us, as a design team, and for you, as a participant!

When this Golden Retriever die from Impression Obsession showed up in the store, I just knew I had to have it.

My daughter has an Irish Cream colored Golden Retriever named Royce, and he is as goofy as he is beautiful.  I turned my first card into a birthday card for my son-in-love.

I also used the Impression Obsession Bones & Bowl and framed him using IO Pinked Edge Frame

I hope you'll visit the DRU Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our amazing design team and join in on the fun.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be one of the first to be notified of their special order events.
