Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling ~ Double D Challenge

Double D Challenge is up with a new challenge, and the theme is Fall Leaves.

I happily pulled out some older sets to make this card.  I started by embossing the front panel using the Falling Leaves embossing folder from Spellbinders, which just happens to be the prize that we're giving away to the winner of this challenge.  I cut a piece of journal cardstock using a Stitched Scalloped Nested Rectangle from Gina Marie Designs.  I stamped a leafy image from PTI's Forest Floor, on the left side of the journal card.

The stamped sentiment is from Echo Park Fall Memories with the addition a trio of Small Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn cut from scraps found in my scrap box.

I can't wait to see how you're inspired by this wonderful mood board that Darlene put together.

Here's the prize you could win when you play along:

Lovely Floral Lantern Terrarium

Happy hump-day everyone!  With Monday being a holiday, this week is just zooming by!

I was inspired by this colorful image from Time Out Challenges

I've been seeing so many beautiful terrarium cards online lately and thought that I could use this lantern die from Gina Marie Designs to create something similar.  The flowers are from Papertrey Ink.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

Warmth Of A Christmas Lantern

Hello!  Hello!  It seems strange to me to be posting Christmas cards when I've been waiting so long for spring to arrive, but here you go, a Christmas card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.
There's nothing like the warm glow of a lantern so I dug out a bunch of Gina Marie Designs dies that my dear friend Marcia gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago.
This lantern die from GMD is so pretty and I'm hoping someone can inspire me with different ways to use it.
The Pine Needles from Gina Marie Designs pairs perfectly with the lantern and the Stitched Bow from Memory Box is like the cherry on top!

While I had my dies out, I made a second one because I came up a little short on Christmas cards last year and I'm hoping to be ahead of the game for this year.
I wanted to see what a black lantern would look like.  I used the same pine and bow dies, but placed them at the bottom of the lantern for a completely different look.  The frame is from Sue Wilson Designs Australian Collection Background Die.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

Darnell's Twofer Challenge

Good morning friends ~  I'm playing along with Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge using the prompt "Leaves"

I used a die from Gina Marie Designs that my dear friend Marcia gave me to make a birthday card and a Thanksgiving card.

It has a wonderful stained glass pattern.  I did some distress ink blending on the background, spritzed it with water and splatted it with ink.  The Give Thanks die is from Impression Obsession and it's cut from shiny gold cardstock.

I went CAS with the next card.  I used a piece of watercolor paper with brushos pigment powders for the background of the leaf and heat embossed the sentiment using copper embossing powder.

You can find all the details of the challenge and join in on the fun here.
