Cute Halloween Treat Boxes ~ CCS

It's the first of October, and the time for handing out candy is upon us!  I've got some cute Halloween Treat Boxes up on the CutCardStock blog.

Come see how I used quality cardstocks in different colors, weights and textures, as well as dies from Fun Stampers Journey from Spellinders and Elizabeth Craft Designs to make these cute treat boxes.

I do hope you'll visit CutCardStock to see how these boxes came together.

Thanks for stopping by!

Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling ~ Double D Challenge

Double D Challenge is up with a new challenge, and the theme is Fall Leaves.

I happily pulled out some older sets to make this card.  I started by embossing the front panel using the Falling Leaves embossing folder from Spellbinders, which just happens to be the prize that we're giving away to the winner of this challenge.  I cut a piece of journal cardstock using a Stitched Scalloped Nested Rectangle from Gina Marie Designs.  I stamped a leafy image from PTI's Forest Floor, on the left side of the journal card.

The stamped sentiment is from Echo Park Fall Memories with the addition a trio of Small Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn cut from scraps found in my scrap box.

I can't wait to see how you're inspired by this wonderful mood board that Darlene put together.

Here's the prize you could win when you play along:

Birthday Bear Hugs ~ TSOC

Hello, hello!  The Sisterhood of Crafters is back from our holiday break and we're starting a new challenge today, asking you to use die cuts and/or an embossing Folder.  Sound fun?
Here's what I came up with, using both embossing and die cuts:

I started by embossing a piece of green cardstock using an FSJ Evergreen embossing folder.  I gently rubbed some Pine Needles DOX ink over the raised areas and cut a circle out of the center.

I stamped this darling image from Uniquely Creative Polar Pals and colored it with Copics.  I backed the circle using a piece of watercolor printed paper, tucked the bears in and stamped the hearts from the stamp set, surrounding the bears with love.

To finish it off, I adhered a  Happy Birthday die cut from My Favorite Things.

I hope you are inspired to join in on the fun over at The Sisterhood Of Crafters.
This will be co-designer Vicki's last challenge with the team as she'll be taking care of family needs.  I wish you the very best Vicki!
