I whipped up these little treat bags for a couple of little spooks. We don't normally get trick or treater's so I like to get creative and gift a couple to some expectant recipients.
So I used the scraps from the partial die cutting challenge to cut these two little bells from the "Bells and Boughs" set, to create another Christmas card. I paired it up with the "Painted Poinsettias", so pretty!
I knew I would love this new set called "Bird Song" from Papertrey ink! This is the first chance I've had to play with it, just in time for the Make it Monday challenge with Laurie on Partial Die Stamping. Yes, I think that's her own name for it but it's very fitting, don't you think? Every year, I make my own gift tags. Not quite sure what the design will be like this year, but I'm getting a head start on them.
Good Saturday morning friends~ I'm here today with a card I made for the PTI Blog Hop. Nichole has some pretty, non-traditional Christmas color challenges that you must check out. Here's the one I went with... so bright and fun!
I made a floating snowflake card using Plaid Builder, Note Niblets, Peaceful Pinecones and one of the snowflake dies. I used a silver paint pen to color the snowflake and add a silver border. There's some Wink of Stella added to the snowflake as well, but it's hard to see in the picture. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
Things I love about fall ~ 1. The festive, fall colors found everywhere 2. The smell of rusty, fallen leaves in the air 3. Eating winter squash straight from the garden 4. The smell of pumpkin baking in the oven 5. Wearing a favorite warm, wooly sweater... the list could go on and on. I just love the colors of fall and that's what inspired me to create this card using the lovely color challenge from Color Throwdown.
I used lots of different sets from PTI and MFT to create this fall wreath card. I'm also entering this card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
I love the colors of fall and the Color Palette Challenge over at the MFT Blog is scrumptiously festive! Here's my card I made for the challenge using their set called "Thankful Leaves".
This little treat bag is for my great niece. She's just a year old so it's not going to be a lot of candy but I wanted to give her something when she comes to our door all dressed up in her cuteness this Halloween.
I filled it with a peanut butter granola bar and a lollipop which I scavenged found in my pantry. I'll be taking a trip to the local grocery store to see what I can find that might be more suitable to a one year old whose parents eat "really" healthy. Feel free to leave me some healthy treat ideas when you comment... please?? I'm entering this into the challenge at Crafty Secrets since this adorable little image came from them. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
Today's card was inspired by a store bought card I received in the mail. Keep in mind that I don't do Halloween, spooky or scary. The card I got was cute and it had a big black crow on it, which I like crows! The colors went along with the color scheme at Color Throwdown, so I'm entering it into that challenge as well as the Halloween theme at The Paper Players. Here's my card:
The green is a little more "limey" green in real life. My photography skills have much to be desired! Here's the inside:
Here's a list of products I used: From MFT Stamps: Primitive Pumpkins & Plaid Background Builder From Simon Says Stamp: Giving Thanks From PTI: Water Color Wonder & Ancient Rome The flourish is an oldie from Technique Tuesday Thanks so much for looking! Blessings and Happy Fall! ~ Birgit
Happy Monday friends! I just love Mondays because that means it's time for the Make-It Monday challenge over at Nichole's blog. Today's challenge is from the lovely and gifted Dawn McVey. She challenged us to create something using dry embossing over heat embossing. I have to admit that when it comes to heat embossing, I'm challenged enough already. Even with an embossing buddy, I still can't seem to get a good clean image like all you fabulous crafter's out there. Also, my embossing powders are all ages old so the colors aren't exactly what I'd call "current". Anyway, it's a beautiful sunny, crisp and cool Monday so I'm not gonna let any of those things stop me from joining in on the fun. Here's my sad but true card I made:
So, I cut my panel just a little bit crooked so I added one of Melissa Phillips "junk bows" to try to cover my oops. The sweet little lady but was a perfect finishing touch to add to my bow. I used Natural Beauties and a sentiment from Doodlie-Do to make this one of a kind card! Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
Hello paper crafting friends~ Just popping in to post this card to the Color Throwdown challenge. They have a very classic color combo this week and here's my card:
I started with a kraft cardstock base and cut the orange panel out of bazzil using MFT Blueprints #13. The banner was cut using MFT Fishtail Flag Stax, which I then stenciled the checked pattern onto using Tim Holt Black Soot. The black fancy swirl is MFT's Sentimental Flourish with a Hybrid Camellia Flower and leaves cut with PTI's Rosie Posie using a steel gray/green colored cardstock. The sentiment is an oldie from Primitive Blessings. I don't even think they sell stamps anymore. Some fall colored sequins finish it off. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
