I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

Hello everyone~  I'm popping in with a card I made for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  The new theme is "Music".

I don't have much in the line of "musical" supplies, but I did find this Christmas verse stamp from Marianne Designs.  The papers are all scraps from my scrap box.  The coffee and sweets was an image I found online that I printed and cut using my Brother Scan N' Cut machine.  No more fussy cutting for me.... Yay!

Please stop by The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge blog to join in on the fun!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving season my friends.

Built On Dreams w/ Marcia

Hello everyone!  I'm sharing a few cards that I made using "Built on Dreams" stencils and die set from PinkFresh Studio.  Marcia and I spent the weekend a couple weeks ago, participating in their Create & Connect event and boy was it ever fun!  Not only was it educational but we added quite a few beautiful new supplies to our craft room "stash".  Our favorite set was the "Built on Dreams" sets, so we decided to create more projects and share them with you, together on our blogs today.

One of the first things I wanted to try, was to use Christmassy colors to create a Christmas card. Using the stencils, border stamp and die cut, I made this cute house shaped card.  The banner is preprinted and came from a collection of die cut ephemera.

This next card came out more beautiful than it looks in the photo.  I used a stencil and Glitz Glitter Gel to create the leafy background.  While that was drying, I used soft pastels to do the floral stenciling.  I skipped stamping the house border and simply cut it out using the coordinating house die.  I added a vellum heart underneath the preprinted sentiment that came in our weekend kit from PinkFresh Studio.  The heart and sentiment are popped up using foam so there's added dimension there that you can't see.  Plus the background adds a beautiful shimmer to this card.  This is my favorite.

This next tag could be used for someone who just bought a new home.  There's not much to explain here but I love the fresh colors.  This stencil set with all its coordinating goodies is absolutely delightful!

So, there you have it!  Three projects using the Built On Dreams sets from PinkFresh Studios. I know Marcia is going to knock our socks off with her creations so click HERE to hop over to her blog and see them for yourself.

Fall Leaves ~ DRU Challenge

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at Dies R Us Challenge blog.  The theme is always "Anything Goes" so it's easy peasy to join in on the fun!

For today's card, I pulled out the Poppystamps Maple Leaf Strip & Stencil.  I've had this set for quite some time and I'm so pleased that it's finally seen some use.

I cut the die from Neenah Solar White cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks in fall colors using the stencil.  This was such a fun process, I love how it turned out!  The sentiment is stamped on an Impression Obsession Fancy Label.  The detailed stitching on this is fabulous.

Here are some handy links to the products I used today.

You can find these products and so many more at Dies R Us.
I hope you'll visit the DRU Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our amazing design team and join in on the fun.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be one of the first to be notified of their special order events.

Giving Thanks with Coffee To Go ~ TSOC

Good morning, there's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and we're "Giving Thanks"!  I've used this challenge as an opportunity to thank those that provide services, such as our news paper delivery guy, the sweet gal at the post office and my hair dresser.

I enjoy making these "To Go" cups using Honeybee Stamps Coffee Gift Card Holder dies.

They're the perfect size for tucking in a gift card.

The pumpkin label is made using a Market Fresh die from Spellbinders called Apple A Day.  The die is great, as it can be used as an apple or a pumpkin or even a peach!  The "For You" stamp and coffee mug are from Stampin' Up!

If you ever needed a Gift Card Holder Die, this is the one!  It comes with everything you need to create adorable gift card holders for any occasion!

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month ~ November

Hi friends~  I'm back today with a couple of projects I made using November Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders.

"Stitched Curved Border & Ornaments" has 13 cutting dies.  There are three border dies in this set, but today's projects focus on the lovely ornament dies.

I decided to make some treat boxes using Fun Stampers Journey Treat Box Die.
I embellished the boxes using the layered ornament dies from the Small Die of the Month.  There are so many ways you can use these dies.

To make the ornaments, I die cut the solid shape and the detailed shape out of white cardstock. I ran the solid shape through the Xyron sticker maker and adhered the detailed piece to the top.  I sprinkled Silk Microfine Glitter to the negative space and embellished the ornaments using flowers and leaves from November's Large Die of the Month.  The tag is from the Perfect Harmony Notecard Embellishments and the "for you" sentiment was partially stamped using a sentiment from Charming Pumpkins.

On Friday I shared a sneak peek of this next project using both the Small and the Large Die of the Month.

The lacy scalloped border was cut using one of the border dies in the Christmas Foliage Strips & Border (this month's Large Die of the Month)

For the ornaments on this card, I cut the solid shape out of Pink Sand Color Essential Cardstock and the detailed shape out of white cardstock.  I added a little bit of stitching to the ornaments before adhering them together.  I added a gold Sparkle Drop to the center of each ornament, for added detail.

The sentiment from Christmas Time Sentiments was heat embossed in black and a few scattered gold sequins finish this card off nicely.

You can find all these at Spellbinders:

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month ~ November

Good morning friends~  If you love the slimline craze, you're going to love November's Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders.

"Christmas Foliage Strips & Borders" comes with 13 cutting dies to make the most beautiful layered cards!

Here's a close up to show you the amazing detail!
There are four different border strips to choose from.  One of the strips has the poinsettia and leaves detail and the other border strips can be used for any occasion.

I die cut the coordinating poinsettia flowers, pine sprigs, berries and holly leaves in traditional Christmas colors to add depth and color, but you could change up the colors and make a card for every season.  The sentiment is from Christmas Time Sentiments.

Here is a sneak peek of Monday's project using both the Small and the Large Die of the Month.  I wanted to show you another one of the beautiful border dies that are included in this month's set.   I'm in love with that pretty scalloped, lacy border!

Walk In The Woods ~ Double D Challenges

Good morning friends!  Would you like to take a walk through the woods with me?  Double D Challenges is making that happen today with their new challenge, "Walk In The Woods".  Fair warning... this is a picture heavy post!

I purchased the "Great Escape" line of papers, ephemera, etc. from Simple Stories several months ago and quickly fell in love with the vintage inspired botanical images in this set.

Sadly, the line is no longer available so I'm very thankful that I purchased the entire line when I did.

These cards all came together so quickly and easily, no stamping required except for a sentiment here and there.

Sit back and enjoy the rest of your walk in the woods.

Please visit the Double D Challenges blog for more inspiration and to join in on the fun.
