Dies R Us ~ Thankful

Good morning ~  I'm up over at the Dies R Us Inspiration blog today.
Tis the season for giving thanks.  I try to remember that I should always have a thankful heart and count my blessings every day!
I started by embossing the Frantic Stamper Double Diamond Die instead of die cutting it, onto an aqua mist colored card base.
I cut the Cheery Lynn Wheat Heads out three times using both smokey grey and cream colored card stock.  I also cut the Impression Obsession Thankful die out three times using the same cream colored card stock.  You can also see in the photo that I die cut a frame using Impression Obsession Rectangle Frames but after playing around with my design, I decided not to use it.
I layered the cream colored wheat heads onto the smokey grey allowing the black to make a shadow.  I then blended some distress ink to the bottom of one of the thankful dies, creating an ombre look.  After stacking the three dies together, I added a thick coating of Glossy Accents.

The Memory Box Stitched Bow was cut using some pretty fall colored plaid paper and made the perfect finishing touch on the CAS card.

Here's a list of all the dies I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~ Day 1

Hello ~ So this is my first year participating in Tracey McNeely's 25 day of Christmas tags. I've got a bit of catching up to do since they're already on day #4 and I'm just now posting for day #1, so forgive me if I post more than one post in a day until I get caught up.  I don't want to miss out on any of the fabulous inspiration tags!
    Here's my tag:
I was inspired by this tag by Kelly Griglione.  I recently won Poppystamps Capri Sleigh and I'm in love!!  The sleigh is trimmed in gold and the snowflake and sentiment is from PTI.
You can find all the details about the 25 Days of Christmas Tags right HERE.

    What's On Your Door?

Good morning friends~  I made this card for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge where the theme is:  "How will you decorate your door?"
Ice Skates!  I ashamedly admit that I have 5 pair of children's ice skates and three pair of adult ice skates that I decorate with each year.   The oldest pair of ice skates I have are from the early 1900's.  They are just steel blades that they strapped on to their boots with strips of leather laces.
I used PTI's Bells & Boughs to create my mis-shaped wreath and added ice skates from My Creative Time's Winter Fun set.  The bow and sentiment is from Bell's & Boughs as well.  I added drops of Glossy Accents to the berries.

So Much To Be Thankful For

Hello friends~  Today's card fits a number of challenges.  I love it when that happens!
I started by cutting the Memory Box Stitched Pumpkins and Poppystamps Stitched Pumpkin Leaves out of water color card stock and colored them up using Zigs.  I added a strip of Lawn Fawn plaid paper and some brown glitter paper down the left side and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Thankful Heart in brown ink.  A spattering of sequins finish this card off.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Double D Challenges ~ Autumn Blessings ~ Give Thanks
Dies R Us ~ Thankful for Nature
    Poppystamps ~ Plaid is Rad
    Memory Box ~ Giving Thanks
Time Out Challenges ~ Give Thanks With A Grateful Heart

I'm thankful to all of you who stop by and visit my blog and especially to those who take the time to leave such kind comments.  I do love hearing from you and knowing you were here!

    Blessings ~ Birgit

    PTI ~ Make-it Monday ~ That's A Wrap!

Good morning, I'm playing along with this week's PTI Make-it Monday Challenge.  Lexi did a great video on stamping your own wrapping paper.  I've done this before and it's always fun!
I used the new Sweet Holiday Wishes set to stamp my gift wrap.  The colors I used were Kraft, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice and Pure Poppy.  My pattern is a little askew but once I wrapped the gift it wasn't as noticeable.

I made a matching tag by folding a piece of kraft paper and cutting the tree die out.  The tag flips open so I can put the "To" & "From" on the inside.

I have another bonus project to share with you too.
I used the back of the mailbox die from Post & Parcel to create this little treat bag.

So glad you stopped by!  Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving season!
