Newton's Nook ~ Darling Duo's

Hello friends~  I'm popping in to share a card I made with a new to me Newton's Nook set called Darling Duo's.  I'm completely smitten by the images in this set.

These kitties are the cutest ever!  Newton and his friends are so adorable!!

I had a dachshund named Liesel when I was young so I colored these darling dachshund's in similar colors of my sweet dog.

Some Glossy Accents on the hearts to make them shine.

I paired the love birds with an MFT Die-namics rainbow.

These love birds got a healthy coating of Wink of Stella.

I'll be adding one of the cards to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday
Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Blessings~ Birgit

Die Cut Club ~ WINNERS POST!

Hello friends~ Let's jump right in with the winner of the December Die Cut Club Kit.
Congratulations to Oma!
Please contact me so I can get your package of die cuts out to you as soon as possible.

The Die Cut Club of Green Duck Sales
is a monthly subscription  where you will receive 10 to 15 top quality, fully colored and embellished die cuts a month.  As you can see in the photo below, you get a lot more than 10-15 die cuts and they're all as cute as can be!

Each month is a different theme and all these dies are professionally cut using 100lb card stock. You can purchase one month of dies or a subscription of dies throughout the year.  The dies are sent out at the beginning of each month.

This card features the adorable Christmas stockings that are included in the December kit.  They come complete with glittered stripes!  I simply embossed the front of the card base using a Darice Fireplace embossing folder and added the stockings.  The sentiment is heat embossed in gold, making this a very quick and simple card.

There are several of these adorable little children die cuts included in the kit as well.  This one hold a Christmas bauble with a glittered bow.  I tucked a gift package behind him (also from the kit) and added a sweet sentiment from Penny Black.

Starting with a black card base, I added a strip of gold glittered paper to the bottom and heat embossed a Penny Black sentiment in gold.  I added the bells, which came with the red ribbon bow and pearl, and sleigh from the kit and a few iridescent sequins to finish it off.

Cupcake Inspirations #388 ~ A Color Challenge ~

Good morning friends~  A delicious new challenge is up at Cupcake Inspirations and it's a color challenge.

Your card or project can have any theme, just make sure to use the colors Poppy, Cream and Gold

This week's sponsor is Craft Classes Online
and they are generously giving away a free seat to any of their online workshops.  How fun is that??

Now on to my card:

For my card, I used Altenew's Vintage Roses and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Thankful Heart .  I heat embossed a few splatters in gold as well as using a strip of gold paper.

Be sure to visit all the other designers blogs to see their take on the inspiration photo.

Die Cut Club ~ Post #3

Hello friends~ Here's the third of my posts using the some wonderful die cuts from The Die Cut Club of Green Duck Sales
This is a monthly subscription  where you will receive 10 to 15 top quality, fully colored and embellished die cuts a month.  As you can see in the photo below, you get a lot more than 10-15 die cuts and they're all super adorable!!

I created these tags using the round sentiment medallions and gifts that were included in the December Die Cut Club Kit.  I simply cut two tags out of Kraft card stock, added the die cuts from the kit and finished them off with ribbon and gems in the centers of each of the bows on the gifts.

Melinda, the owner of the Die Cut Club has generously given me an entire extra set of die cuts to give away to one winner from comments left on the first three posts on my blog using her dies.  So if you comment on all three posts, you'll increase your chances of winning.  I will draw the winner in three days!  You still have time to leave a comment on the first post found HERE  and the second post found HERE to increase your chances of winning.

My project for today was these cute cupcake picks, or in this case Whoopie Pie picks.  ;0)
I created the paper medallions using white card stock and my score board.  Once they were finished I simply adhered these adorable die cuts  from The Die Cut Club December kit and added a toothpick to each one.  Done!

A fun and festive treat for the whole family to enjoy!  And yes, we DID enjoy them!!

Melinda, the owner of the Die Cut Club has generously given me an entire extra set of die cuts to give away to one winner from comments left on the first three posts on my blog using her dies.  So if you comment on all three posts, you'll increase your chances of winning.  I will draw the winner three days after my third post so you'll just have to keep checking back, become a follower of my blog or subscribe by e-mail so you don't miss a post.
