Cupcake Inspirations #380 ~ Celebrate

Good morning~  It's time for another challenge from Cupcake Inspirations.  This week's challenge is a COLOR challenge.  Here's the tasty inspiration photo using the colors Blush, Ruby and Forest or colors like them:

Our sponsor this week is Waffle Flower Crafts
They are generously giving away a stamp of the winner choice to the winner of this week's challenge so please join in on the fun.  You could be our next winner!

Here's what I came up with using these colors:

I used MFT's Scribble Roses to create the front of the card and then cut the word "celebrate", from PTI, out of the stamped card front.

The rest of the sentiment is stamped from PTI's Over, Under, Easy.  Some ruby colored sequins finish it off.

Please visit the other designers to see how they were inspired by these colors:

Playing Along with Merry Monday ~ Vintage / Retro Christmas

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play along with this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge as it's a vintage / retro theme and I just adore anything vintage!!
Here's my card:

I started by stamping a Christmas Script background on water color card stock, using a stamp from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps and then did some ink blending using distress inks.  I used PTI's Out On A Limb to stamp the tree branch by inking up the stamp and then spritzing it with water.  I then did the same type of stamping using the pine sprigs from Bells & Boughs.  I stamped and die cut the vintage bells from Bells & Boughs and added them to the card front.  The greeting is also from Bells & Boughs and was stamped using Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold.

I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #379 ~ A Theme Challenge

Happy Sunday folks!  It's time for another sweet inspiration challenge from Cupcake Inspirations.  This week is a theme challenge and the theme is...

Our sponsor this week is Sugar Pea Designs

 they're generously giving a
$20 gift certificate to the winner of this fun challenge so be sure to join in for your chance to win!

And now on to my card:
I started by scoring a piece of white card stock at every 1/2" and then attached it to an A-2card base.  I added a 1/4" strip of white paper across the top to create the look of a beadboard wall.  I then added some lightly colored printed paper for wall paper.  The bathtub and duck are both from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I cut the faucet spout out of shiny silver cardstock to give it a realistic look.  The sentiment is from a retired set from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps.

Please take the time to visit each of the designers to see their fabulous cards using this weeks inspiration.

Die's R Us ~ Celebrate

Good morning friends~  It's my turn  to post over at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog and today I've got a Bridal Shower gift set to share with you.
The neat thing about this gift set is that the grooms last name is Swan so I thought the Swan from Quickuts would be a perfect starting point.  Act fast if you want to pick up one of these beautiful dies from Dies R Us as they are currently on closeout so it's a really good deal!

I started by cutting the frame using Sue Wilson Australian Collection Background Die out of shiny gold card stock.  This card measures 5x7" and the frame fits it perfectly.  I then stamped a polka dotted background onto a piece of blue card stock using versamark ink and then heat embossed the polka dots in gold.  After cutting, coloring and assembling the Quickutz swans I added a die cut "Celebrate", also cut from shiny gold card stock.  The card came together very quickly.
You can't give a gift without a tag to match.  As you can see it the photo, I used the gift bag as my jumping off point for colors and design.

The "bride to be" loved the gift and especially the card.  Big smiles all around!
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Swan!

Here's the dies I used to create this card that can be found at Dies R Us

    Dashing Fall Dachshund

Good morning folks~  Today's card was made for the Marianne Design Challenge  to make an easel card and since it's using just dies, I'll be entering it into 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge as well.

I started by making the card base using this pretty doily frame and doily designed by Petra Van Dam, cut out of white card stock.  The Daschaund is so adorable in his little fall sweater!  A cluster of oak leaves and an acorn from the Creatables collection finishes off the front.
I was inspired by the colors from City Crafter Challenge ~ All neutral tones.  His sweater is fashioned after the copper tub.

On the inside is a gourd from Tiny's Creatables.

I'll also be entering this card in to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters ~ Fall / Harvest

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit
