All My Heart

This is the most difficult post I've ever written, and I'm not even sure if I want to or can share this. My mom passed away unexpectedly two days after Mother's Day, on May 12. I'm so broken and lost and still having moments of disbelief. Each day moving forward without my mom is a struggle and the beginning of a new journey that I wish I didn't have to be on. Even making cards is a struggle. I am now in need of many thank you cards, for the prayers, meals, phone calls, visits, flowers, plants and cards we've received. I finally was able to focus my attention to making these, much needed thank you cards.

I turned to the inspiration of different challenge boards (as I always have) to help me gain focus. This card was made using the Sweet Sunday Sketch

I also used the colors from Color Throwdown

Products Used:
Stitched Speech Bubble Edges ~ MFT
Petite Pots ~ PTI
Polka Dot Background ~ MFT
Beautiful Words ~ Simon Says Stamp

This card is done using the technique from Melissa Phillips using chalks over the stamped images to soften the stamped images. It's CASED from Melissa's Make-it-Monday video. I simply changed up the layout of the card using MFT's Blueprints and some printed paper. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, Beautiful Words. This set has become heavily used in the making of my thank you's.

I'll enter these cards into the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday Challenge
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
Word Art Wednesday

Thanks for stopping by. Blessings~ Birgit

While reading your post I could actually feel your loss. Our parents are extremely important persons in the formation of our own lives; but our mothers make the deepest impact. My heart feels your pain. Stay strong...you have been blessed by her obviously! Now she has handed you the baton of love.

Aw, sweetie... my heart aches for you! I know that loss too, as I very unexpectedly lost my Dad just before Christmas 18 months ago. I'm so sorry for your loss! (I'm at work as I write this... struggling not to break down crying at my desk!) I'm glad you are finding the desire and ability to stamp... it was hard for me to get back into it again. Your cards are lovely, and I'm glad the Color Throwdown colors were there to inspire you! Know that I'm sending you my deepest sympathy and hugs!

BIrgit,
I just popped into your blog from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and had to let you know how sorry I am for the tragic loss.of your mom. Grieving is hard work as I was learned after I lost my Dad suddenly. Sharing with others is a great beginning. Above all be kind and patient to yourself in the process.
I too am happy that you were able to stamp today. Your work is beautiful!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. I pray that you will allow the Lord to comfort and sustain you through this difficult time and that your sweet memories of her will help you through the grief.

Beautiful cards, Birgit, but mostly want to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mom. Both of my parents had cancer so neither death was a total surprise but still very difficult to accept. It's been several years now and not day goes by that I don't still miss them. Hang on to your fondest memories and may God lift you up when you are down. Praying for you and sending a cyber hug!

I absolutely ADORE the softness of this, Birgit. It is stunning, and super creative. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talents wit us again this week. I love seeing and enjoying your art. I also love (if I haven't mentioned it) your blog name. I am SO excited for the return of our Lord, and I hope it is soon. Our country is moving farther and farther away from the LORD, and we need Him SO much. I pray that those who are going to be saved, WILL BE SAVED SOON, and that He will come and take us home soon. Thank you so much for sharing. Your art, as well as your love for the Lord, are such a blessing to me.
