Good morning friends~ Today's cards show one die being used in three different ways. I've used the Muse Challenge for my inspiration.
Here's this week's Muse from Jenni Murray:
Here's my cards featuring Die-Namites "Birds On A Wire" which is currently on a deep discount as Dies R Us is having a big pre-Memorial Day blowout sale!
On this first card, I cut the die out of water color card stock and colored the birds in using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I added some yummy candy dots and a sentiment from PTI's "Bold & Beautiful".
On this card, I used the Zigs to add color to my card base and then did some ink splattering. I can see that I need lots of practice blending these colors together. They're not as easy to blend as I thought they'd be. ;0) I added the bird die cut from black card stock and a sentiment from PTI's "Swoosh".
And finally I cut a stitched rectangle from Lil' Inker's and did some ink blending using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and cut the bird die to fit the rectangle. The sentiment is again, from PTI's "Bold & Beautiful" set.
I'll also be adding one of these cards into the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings~ Birgit

Stunning rainbow birds!ReplyDelete
Wow love all of these!! but my favourite has to be the last one the rainbow panel just makes the birds just pop out at you!!Thank you for joining in at Muse this week Brigit ...and giving me some inspiration! xReplyDelete
My fav. is the 'Rejoicing" card. I just adore all of your bright happy colors, and the sentiment is perfect for giving to a friend. Thank you for sharing yet another creation with us at Word Art Wednesday!ReplyDelete
Awesome cards, I love them all but the last one is my favorite. Blending with Zigs is very depending on the kind of paper you use. When the paper absorbs the ink to fast it is hard to blend them properly (hope this make sense, my english is not so well)ReplyDelete
Oh my Birgit, gorgeous cards. The first and third are my favorite. Your blending is fantastic.ReplyDelete
OMGoodness!! each card is amazing Birgit!! I love the bold rainbow colors paired with the black on white! stunning. I just love them all but I think the first one is a show stopper!!ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness Birgit...these are ALL just stunning! I've seen that bird die before and never thought I'd be able to do anything with it, and look at you go! 3 absolute beauties! I'm totally in love with the first one and so jealous you achieved that fabulous look with the Zigs (I have a love/hate relationship with mine and mostly the later!). They look so perfectly water colored! I really love the look of your 3rd card too...so CAS and elegant! Beautiful job on all of them my friend!! :0)ReplyDelete
These are fantastic - love that you used the same supplies different ways - it reminds me that I should do that more often rather than hitting the 'add to cart' button all the time! lol! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Birgit!ReplyDelete
LOVE your sweet bird cards. Your colors are AMAZING! They look awesome in black against your pretty background and the black sentiment too! (ooh you could have easily entered this in the SS Monday, Wishes Challenge too!)ReplyDelete
These are great and colorful cards !ReplyDelete
