Milk Carton Favors

Treat filled favors are so fun to make, give and receive.  I've got a fun filled Cut Cardstock project to share with you today that you can make for your friends and loved ones.
The base of these milk carton containers are made using Pop-Tones Cardstock which are all on sale for the month of June.

I used the colors Wild Cherry, Berrylicious and Sweet Tooth.  Don't they just sound like sweet colors?
I cut one box each out of Berrylicious and Wild Cherry cardstock using a Memory Box Buttermilk Carton and assembled the boxes using Score-Tape which is a super strong adhesive.   It's perfect for making boxes and projects that you need to hold up when handled.
I then cut four MFT Gerbera Daisy flowers out of Sweet Tooth cardstock, two for each box, using a patterned paper for the centers and layered the flowers using Glue Dots.
I gently fluffed the petals up to give them dimension.

A belly band was created to go around the center of the box by cutting a 2" wide strip of cardstock and then cutting a  Poppy Stamps Eyelet Stitched Border for the top and bottom edge.  I adhered the lacy edge to the cardstock using Glue Dots GLUE LINE.

Once that was done I simply wrapped the band around the box and adhered it using either Score-Tape or Glue Lines.  Attach the flower using a large Glue Dot.

Fill the boxes with yummy treats or small gifts and tie them closed using fun colored packing twine.

I hope you enjoyed today's project.

I'll be adding this project to the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Going around in Circles
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit
