Baskets of Holly

Good morning friends!  Christmas season is upon us and I've got an easy project for adding to your Christmas card stash.

Here's a snapshot of the products I used today:

Here's what I did:
I started by cutting the Hero Arts Layered Holly leaves out of 65# Limeade Pop Tones cardstock. This is the perfect weight for die cutting and layering as it doesn't add too much bulk so your Christmas cards can be easily mailed.  I stamped each of the images using coordinating inks.

I used a stitched edge die to cut a piece of 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and a piece of 65# Wild Cherry Pop Tones and adhered the two using Score-Tape.

I found this fabulous basket weave design paper from Authentique "Cheerful" and it made me think of a pretty lined basket filled with fresh holly.

I assembled the cards using Tombow Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and added some Glossy Acdents and True Red Silk Microfine Glitter to the berries for added texture and interest.

The sentiments are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Holly set.

Limeade and Wild Cherry is such a refreshing color combination for Christmas.
Why don't you give it a try!
You'll find all of the RedGreen and White cardstocks on sale all month long at CutCardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

The basket weave paper is so realistic; I thought you had used an embossing folder to get that dimension but then read it was paper alone. Wow, your bright red and green are so pretty on this card. Love your design!
