What's a "twofer" you ask? If you've ever visited Darnell's blog DJ Kard Kreations, then you've most certainly heard her use the term "twofer". It's like two for the price of one or in her case, two cards in one visit. Darnell has just recently started a new challenge blog called Twofer Card Challenge where you use one image to make two different cards for different occasions using an inspiration word. So fun!
I just recently purchased some new sentiments and images from Rubbernecker and one of the images just happened to be these darling birds called "Be Yourself" ~ perfect for the challenge:
This first card uses a sentiment from Rubberneckers called "Being You". This sincere sentiment took on a witty meaning when paired with these fun little guys.
The second card uses a sentiment from My Creative Time "Tweet Me" set. Again, a very fitting sentiment for this darling image.
I wanted these cards to be the same but different. I cut the main image using Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Rectangles and used bold colored patterned papers to bring out the colors of the birds.
I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Work It Wednesday ~ Something New
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge ~ Patterned Paper
I hope you'll take the time to join in on the fun at Darnell's new Twofer Card Challenge blog. It's a great way to add cards to your stash and have fun at the same time. She's got an amazing line-up of talented designers to inspire you!
Thanks for stopping by!
