12 Kits of Occasion ~ April

Good morning friends~  The end of April is here and that means it's time for the gals from 12 Kits of Occasion to post their projects.

This month's kit comes from Lisa Elton of My Paper Tales.  Lisa's sweet CAS style is totally reflected in her darling kit she entitled "My Little Chickadee". 

 So "tweet"!  (see what I did there?) ;0)

I loved the papers she included from October Afternoon.  Is anything any sweeter than this feather paper??  Wish I had more of that!

I used a scrap of printed paper from the kit and cut several skinny ovals to create this coneflower using the sentiment, which I love!  I added some bees from Honeybee Stamps Happy Fall Y'all.

 I made two notecards using these sweet images from Impression Obsession. 

 I added just a bit of detail and color to each of the image using colored pencils and copics.

Lisa included lots of these darling little chickadee's in her kit so I'll have plenty for future projects.

PTI Make-it Monday ~ Spot Color Word Die

Good morning friends~  This week's Make-It Monday is a fun technique that's new to me.  Betsy challenged us with Spot Color Word Dies.

Four Card Bonus!

Good morning friends~  I hope you don't mind if I play a little "catch-up" here.

I've been super busy with life and have found very little time to spend in my craft room until the other day, so I made up some cards for challenges that I wanted to play along with.  

Let's start with this cute little fella:  

I think these little gnomes from MFT are so cute and I've always wanted them but never bought them.  Kara brought lots of MFT stamps to Kansas and this set was among them so I couldn't resist stamping a bunch of these guys out to color at home using Copics.

This card is being entered into The Paper Players ~ CAS Challenge.

Next up is a card for the PTI Make-It Monday Challenge.  

Lexi had a great idea for creating Graffiti Word Art.  My first attempt at the word art ended up in the trash and this one almost did but I persevered and decided that I'd at least try to finish the card.  My word didn't come out as artsy as Lexi's but overall the card is kind of cute so I'll use it.  I used Birthday Balloons, Bold & Beautiful Sentiments and Watercolor Wonder.

Next up is two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge and the key word is

I used Altenew's Modern Cats to make a vibrantly colored birthday card and an "Encouragement" card.

The colorful birthday card is being entered into the Seize the Birthday Challenge where the topping is "Vibrant Colors" and AAA Cards ~ Perfect Day

Spring / Easter Wishes

Today starts a new challenge over at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and the theme is "SPRING"!

 I just couldn't help myself from using this darling Vintage Chick from Frantic Stamper and the Small Winter Cottage with Small Summer Cottage Roof from Dee's Distinctively.  I cut everything out of white Soft Finish Cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs and added color using Distress Inks.

Two Cards For Two Challenges

Good morning friends~  I've got two cards for you today for two different challenges.

First up is the card I made for PTI's Make-it Monday challenge with Stephanie Gold using outline images.

 I used fruit from Still Life Summer, Flower Fusion and a sentiment from Penned Elegance.

My second card is for the MFT Color Challenge #90

I stenciled the clouds in the background using their Cloud Stencil and added a stitched border and the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame.  This little cutie holding the cupcake is from Hog Heaven.  The banner is from Blueprints #20.  Anyone miss the BP as much as I do?
