PTI Make-It Monday ~ Ornament Box

Good morning friends~  we're back from California and though we had a marvelous time with our son and daughter-in-love, it's always good to be home.
I am finding time to get back in my craft room and that's always a relaxing outlet for me.  I'm able to play along with this week's Make-It Monday over at PTI, where Melissa challenged us to Deck our Dies!
I certainly did some decking when making this sweet ornament box.

I created the box using Spellbinders Labels 8 dies.
I cut the center out using a stitched oval and then lined the box with pretty vintage paper from Simple Stories Vintage Christmas.  The deer from Fawn & Flora is so darling and fit inside the box perfectly.

I added a kraft paper flower to the top and some greens.

I felt like the bottom needed something so I added this little strip of printed paper from Graphic 45 that I cut into a banner and glued it on wavy-like.

This was given to a very special friend when we were in California.
I was blessed to enjoy lunch with Nancy Penir and her sweet hubby.  My daughter-in-love came with me.

I made another ornament box featuring everyone's favorite mouse, Mickey!
Can you guess who this one went to?

I got to meet up with Kim Heggins the day before we were flying back home.  It was such a treat to meet her for lunch.  I only wish our visit could have been longer.
You can find all the details here and get lots more inspiration.  I hope you'll join in on the fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, it's official that I'm jealous!! That you got to spend time with Nancy AND Kim, and then that they each got one of these magnificent boxes too?! I bet Nancy and Kim absolutely LOVED these and how sweet of you to gift them with these treasures!! The detail on both is just fabulous Birgit! Love the sweet doe on the 1st box and the garland around it's neck, and of course all the greenery at the top and the flower too! And of course Kim's Mickey box is just as sweet as can be! Lovely job on both of them my friend!! :0)
