12 Kits of Occasion ~ May

Hello all!  I can't believe we're at the end of May already and with Memorial Day behind us, they say that's the official "unofficial" start to summer.
It seems like the warm weather is taking its time getting here but Tracey's sweet kit this month softened the mood for me and made me happy to stay inside playing with paper.

Her kit was filled with everything needed to celebrate the month of June from grad to dad and student to teacher.  Lovely plaid papers and cute designs to color.

This mondo bloom from Ellen Hutson is so lovely colored in colors that coordinated with the plaid.

The plaids are so wonderful, I had a hard time cutting into them.  I left this girl uncolored on purpose.  I'm going to send it to my great little niece when she starts school this fall.   I know she'll enjoy coloring it.

These feathers Tracey included in the kit showcase the colors of the papers wonderfully so I kept this card CAS.

I still have lots of leftovers waiting for inspiration from my creative team members so be sure to visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how everyone was inspired.  Thanks Tracey for a great kit!

Thanks for stopping by!

Birgit I love what you did with the kit but wow what a start your Gerber Daisy with the peek of paper coming in the side and stunning--love your colouring! Your niece will love that fun school card to colour I think that is such a great idea!! You managed to stretch the leaves over two cards and they are both fabulous and of course a great finish with the pencil going off the edge! Hope it starts warming up there our May Victoria weekend is the unofficial start of summer here, but my furnace is still ON! Each day is starting to warm up but the morning still start out cool--ugh! xo

So much fun on your post...love all those wonderful cards. Your flowers is over the top fabulous! Love your coloring as always, it almost looks real with the way you shaded each of the petals. Love that you left the teacher uncolored, she looks amazing! Love your fabulous pencil card too, so fun!

Oh my, Birgit! Your cards are all wonderful! I love how you colored your daisy and how beautiful it looks with the paper! What a great idea to give a coloring card to your great niece! She will love that! Your feather cards are fantastic, and I love how you used woodgrain white with the plaids and it sort of reflects that pencil too! All great cards, Birgit!

LOVE every. single. card. Birgit!! Your 1st card with the Gerbera Daisy is FABULOUS...beautifully colored and love the simple layout that puts all the focus on that gorgeous bloom! Totally LOVE the 2nd card where you left the little girl uncolored too...what a great idea! I should have saved one of the images for Addy to do that too...dang it!! Both of your feather cards are wonderful and I love your pencil card too! You most definitely rocked this kit too Birgit and get an A+ in my book!! :0)

These are so cute and pretty, loving the cute plaid, pretty flower and I love the idea of leaving the one uncolored for your great niece, I bet she will love that. Pretty stitched look in the feathers and the coloring on the last is so cute, great job with this kit!

Beautiful job with Tracey's kit--every card is fabulous! Your mondo daisy is really striking. The pretty golden yellow looks amazing with the combination white and plaid background. I really like that design. Your uncolored image is brilliant! Leaving her that way will make the card even more fun for your niece. Great idea to use the leaves for two different designs too. Love the giant pencil. I had mine ready but never finished the card. Yours is adorable!!

I LOVE what you've done with the daisy! The way it flows from the plaid to the stark white is fabulous. How sweet to make an interactive card for your niece, she'll enjoy that. And why didn't I think to break up the feathers for more than one card...clever girl you are!
