Good morning friends. I'm popping in with a card I made for the Inspired By Challenge:
Here's their inspiration photo:
I was inspired by the geometric pattern on the pillow to create the background panel using Hero Arts Ombre Ink called Spring Day and an old background stamp that's so old, I don't even remember where it came from.
I cut the background panel using Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles and mounted it to an A2 size Hero Arts Kiwi Green cardstock base. I picked up on the white flowers on the coffee table and used this beautiful orchid stamp from PTI. The sentiment is from the same set.
And because I wasn't sure I was really happy with how the first card came out, I made a second one, just adding a strip of striped patterned paper from My Favorite Things and some sequins.
Which card do you like better?
I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp ~ Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by!
I really like both of them Birgit! Love the more modern look of the colorful triangles in the background with the delicate look of the beautiful orchid in your 1st card, but really like the more traditional look of the striped DSP with the orchid too! They're both lovely, lovely cards!! :0)ReplyDelete
Oh, I like those orchids, they're so pretty! I think these both turned out great Birgit!ReplyDelete

Oh I couldn't choose - I love them both, Birgit... your gorgeous orchids are highlighted beautifully with both the stencil, and the green stripes … okay, that might be my fave, LOL! Really what I love most is that you've played cards with us at IB!! SO happy!ReplyDelete
Beautiful cards! So soft and pretty! Thanks for playing at Inspired By.ReplyDelete
Great job with the inspiration card, that is the perfect background for it and pretty softness to the flowers, I will have to say I love the colors in the flowers in the second one, can see more details!ReplyDelete
