A Multi-Layered Background and Happy News

Hello friends~  I have some happy news to share.  I'll be joining The Sisterhood of Crafters design team starting today!  So I'll be jumping right in with a card I made for the "Stenciling" challenge.
I started by stamping a background using Carta Bella Travel Journal in kraft ink.  I then pulled out my rarely used stencils.

I used a Polka Dot stencil from Simon Says Stamp and stenciled the polka dots on using Squeezed Lemonade DOX ink.  Next I used a new to me Leaves & Berries stencil from Altenew and some Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel from Gina K Designs and stenciled that on top.

Here's a photo of the finished background.  I just love the shimmer from the Glitz Glitter Gel.  So pretty!

I used up an oval scrap that was sitting on my craft table and the sunflower image from Clearly Besotted Sunshine & Smiles was already colored and sitting in my box of colored images, just waiting to be used.

Now it's YOUR turn to play along.  You can find all the details at The Sisterhood of Crafters or by clicking here.  We look forward to seeing what you create!
You will have until Sunday, June 21st to enter.  Winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 5th.

Thanks for stopping by!
