Winter Scene Thank You Card

Good morning everyone!  I'm popping in with a CAS thank you card that hopefully is CAS enough for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge.

I recently posted about this soft, pastel Christmas card that I made, using Papertrey Ink's Winter Village.  I had stamped all of the buildings out using the same pastel colors and this house was left sitting on my desk, so I put it to work on today's card.

I used Spellbinders Fluted Classics Circles to cut the just the lined insert into an A2 sized Neenah Solar White cardstock panel.  Leaving the die in place, I then blended in a bit of Tumbled Glass DOX ink to the center of the circle.

After building the little scene, I added some Stickles Glitter Glue snow drifts and a sentiment cut using Layered Mix & Match Sentiments (also from Spellbinders).  This sentiment set seems to be my new favorite "go-to" set for sentiments.  I like the double layers and the font they used.

I struggle with CAS cards because I always want to keep adding more "stuff"! But I think this card came out sweet and hopefully fits the requirements of a CAS design.

There's still time to play along at the CAS Christmas Card Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Winter scene Birgit, and yep, it's CAS too! So glad that little leftover house inspired you to play along with us at CAS Christmas, and now you have another card for the Christmas stash too! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Christmas my friend! Hugs. :0)

  2. I like the non-traditional colors you've picked for your darling card!

  3. Oh what a cozy little cabin in the woods, I would totally snuggle up by that fire! That Spellbinders circle looks awesome!

  4. You put that house to very good work, love the little scene you made and love the glitter added to it!

  5. Sweet little winter village and love the soft colours. Thanks for joining us at CAS Christmas ♥

  6. Second try ... not sure what happened to my first comment. :) This is adorable Birgit. I LOVE the soft colours of your pretty winter scene (and love your original card you made with this set!). Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! xx

  7. I love this soft color palette, Birgit! Growing up, we had two Christmas trees. One had all our home made ornaments from over the years, and the other was my mom's peachy-coral/green/cream beautifully decorated tree. This reminds me so much of that! Thanks for the memories!

  8. Cute and cozy winter scene card. The fluted circle framed and highlighted it perfectly. Thank you for joining us at CAS Christmas.

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving me some love! I appreciate that you took the time to stop in and leave a comment. I read each and every one of them and I appreciate you!
