Hello friends ~
Today's card was made using the colors from Color Hues. I couldn't resist letting these colors go by without making something, as I love orange and green together. It makes me think of all things fall, so here you go!
I pulled out the cloche die set from Honeybee Stamps and the mushroom stencil and die set from Pinkfresh Studio. They seem to pair nicely together.
The mushrooms look a little more yellow than orange, but in real life they're orange. I used Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade DOX inks for the caps and Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles DOX inks for the leaves.
I used a glue pen to add dots, which I then sprinkled with saffron Silk Micro-fine Glitter to, to add a little sparkle.
Ready or not, fall is on it's way. I'm saying goodbye to all the beautiful blooms in the gardens and starting to pull up some of the veggies that have stopped producing.
I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Color Hues ~ Orange & Green

What a pretty card! I've owned those mushrooms for a long time (part of a Create & Connect event), but I've never used them on my own. I love them in the cloche! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing with us at Color Hues!
Those mushrooms look right at home in your wonderful cloche! This is a charming card, Birgit!
Fantastic design Birgit. I LOVE your cloche with the sweet mushrooms. What a great design and wonderful use of the challenge colours! I'm ready for fall ... it's my favourite time of years. xx
I adore your little mushroom-filled cloche, Birgit!

I too have those mushroom dies from PFS, and like Karen have never used them (gasp!!)! After seeing them in the cloche though, I really think I need to pull them out and this card is sooooo sweet Birgit! You've used our challenge colors beautifully and this whole card totally makes me smile! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at Color Hues my friend!! Hugs. :0)
This is such a pretty card, Birgit! I love the shape and the mushrooms too. My mom was a huge lover of mushrooms so every time I see one I think of her. Thanks for the sweet memory and thanks for joining us at Color Hues.
Birgit, this is such a sweet card! The mushrooms are delightful and I love the little sparkle stamps in the background. Great idea to put them into the cloche and is looks fabulous as a shaped card. Thanks so much for joining in with us at Color Hues!
This is gorgeous, Birgit. I saw it in the gallery and had to stop by your blog too. Love the soft colors and that cloche is amazing. Just beautiful!
Pretty color combo! Love the mushrooms under the glass cloche! (psst I have a DD one coming up!) Great card!
Oh, how cute! What a charming fall vignette, and in a cloche no less! Love the dots and star sprinkles that make it all the more magical. Love these colors, too. Same here in the garden. Spent some time on clean up yesterday. Picked the last of the cucumbers. Then we had a little thunderstorm with rain last night. I was glad for that!
Beautiful, yes I agree they work so well together like they were made for each other. So sad when our gardens stop producing and an end is coming but look so forward to the leaves changing :)
Birgit, this is lovely! The colors of the mushrooms are really great. I wouldn't have thought to color them like that, but it looks great. The greens are lovely too, and I love the sparkly gold accents. Such a great card! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday!
