Fall Colors ~ DD Challenges

Good morning.  Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving day?  My friends and I over at DD Challenges have a new challenge starting today, and the theme is "Fall Colors".

I was scrolling through Instagram one day and came across a lovely hourglass card made by Kelly Schirmer using this die set from The Greetery.  I just had to recreate my own version of it using printed papers from my stash.

The printed paper is from the "Fall Break" collection from Carta Bella.  It's quite retired by now, I think.

The leaves and acorns are from Lawn Fawn, tied with a twine bow and the sentiment is from Honeybee Stamps.

The paper collection is 6x6, which allowed me to cut two images from one sheet of paper.  Two cards for the price of one.  I love it when that happens.

The gals at Double D Challenges have some lovely cards for inspiration for you, but here's an inspiration tile to get you started:

and here's the prize you could win when you play along:

Thanks for stopping by!

Birgit, your wonderful cards remind me of our recent trip! We were delighted to tick off one more National Park and a few more states that we'd not visited, too. It was extra nice of you all to save lots of Autumn color for us! I sure wish we could have spent more TIME with you but do appreciate every moment you shared!
What a wonderful die for this gorgeous paper!

The sweetest fall cards! That hour glass die cut is timeless...no pun intended. The fall images on those papers look awesome framed by it. Love your acorn and leaves too. Great that you were able to get two cards from one 6x6 sheet. Always a bonus!

Oh, my goodness gracious! What a beautiful representation of the passage of time through the seasons. The paper is ideal, the hourglass a perfect frame, and the acorns, leaves, sentiment banner all absolutely lovely in such a warm and comfy way. I just noticed each card has different acorns. Just one of those little things. I love these!
