Quilted

Hello friends ~ I know my posts have been few and far between, but I ask you not to give up on me.  I've just been enjoying family and enjoying summer as it all goes by too quickly.  Before long, I'll be hunkered up inside the house and will find plenty of time for crafting.  But for now, I hope you don't mind the occasional post.

I've been behaving myself, well mostly, this summer and not spending any money buying new craft supplies (save for a couple small purchases).  ;0)
Moreover, I've been pulling older sets out that haven't gotten much use and I've enjoyed it so much!

This die is called Quilted "Summer" and it was from Papertrey Ink back in the day.
I cut the die from scraps of printed paper in my scrap box and went to work piecing each quilt together.  I topped each quilted square with a die cut button in the center.

Each quilted piece is mounted to a different embossed background.

Except for this one, which is simply mounted on linen cardstock.

I used this as an opportunity to add to my birthday and anniversary card stash.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Cut It Up ~ Emboss It
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Please don't give up on me.  I'll be back on a regular basis soon.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sew Happy ~ Spellbinders September Card Kit of the Month

It's the beginning of the month, so you know what that means??  Spellbinders has a new release for all their Club Kits.  Each month when I open a new kit, it feels like Christmas!

This month's kit is called "Sew Happy", and it is delightful!

This kit is filled with all things that are beautifully homespun!

Each card kit includes a 6x6 paper pad, clear stamps, a die set, tons of embellishments, and more!

Spellbinders kits always have a touch of elegance, using gold or silver accents
Not only do these kits have all these decorative elements, but they also include 10 card bases with envelopes, several sheets of color coordinating cardstock, double sided tape, double sided foam dimensional squares and sequins.

There are 9 dies included in this kit.  This card shows you the stitching hoop, along with some flowers, leaves, even a needle and thread.  Can it get any sweeter?

Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month is a great gift idea, for someone who is thinking about making their own cards, but don't want to spend a lot of money on supplies.  We all know how one little purchase can add up to more.  Right??

I hope you enjoyed today's projects.  You can find the entire new release at Spellbinders and take a peek at what's COMING SOON.  I've listed links to the products below for your convenience.  Hope to see you again soon!
