Warm Winter Wishes & A Winner

Hello my friends~  Are you staying warm?  It's been so cold here in Maine, our oil delivery people are woefully busy delivering oil to keep people warm this winter.  They're so far behind that people are lining up at the gas stations with 5 gallon tanks to get deisel fuel to put in their oil tanks to keep from running out of oil until their delivery arrives.  I wanted to be sure to thank our oil company as well as the deliver guy himself for all their hard work and patience through this cold snap.  Just to get through on the phone with them, I had to wait a half an hour so I could order oil.
I used the challenge that my friend Linda is hosting,  at Merry Monday Christmas Blog to make my card using dry embossing.  The Memory Box Warm Mittens set comes with two different sizes of dies.  Just perfect for wintery projects like this!

I also put together a little goodie bag filled with treats to give our delivery guy something to nibble on during those long days of delivering in the frigid cold and trudging through lots and lots of snow.

And today is the day I announce the winner of the giveaway I had on my blog for this darling stamp set from Avery Elle.
Random Integer picked #30 ~ Vicki Robertson.  Congratulations Vickie!  Please contact me with your mailing address so I can get this right out to you!

Sisters Special Day

Good morning friends!  My sister celebrates her birthday 2 days after Christmas and she's never liked that, so I always try to make sure that I don't forget to send her some love in the mail.
I found one of these Gorjuss little stamps at the stamp & scrapbooking convention I went to last September but they only had one.  I bought it, then came home and searched them up and found so many of these little cuties at SimonSays Stamp and they're so inexpensive!
The sentiment is from Stampendous "Sisters".  It totally reflects my sister's and my relationship together.  We love each other and laugh at everything.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Seize The Birthay ~ Anything Goes, No Topping

Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Double D Challenges ~ Birthday using the first square of the mood board as my inspiration.

Winter Time Thanks

Good morning friends and Happy New Year!
I've got some cute critters today from Marianne Designs to help you say "Thank You".

First let me say that these little critters from Marianne Designs Collectables are all too cute for words!
These dies are frequently offered on Special Order for a short period of time at the Dies R Us online shop.  I've been adding to my collection of critters ever since I started designing for DRU and each one is a delight to put together.

Here's what I did:
I started by heat embossing some snowflakes onto white cardstock using silver embossing powder.  I blended in Distress Oxide Inks in Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.

Next I cut Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes  and added a bit of Distress Oxide Ink to the edges.  This particular die is currrently out of stock but you can find many landscape dies in the store including a Memory Box Gentle Stitched Landscapes.

I cut several Poppystamps Stitched Pine Trees  out of green and white cardstock and assembled them using Glossy Accents.

This is the Dachshund from Marianne Designs.  All the Marianne Designs Collectables critters are so easy to assemble.  I added some white stitching to his scarf using a white gel pen.  Doesn't he look handsome??
Here's the finished card:

This is the Deer from Marianne Designs.  It comes with dies to make him stand up or lay down.  So cute!!  Here's a link to another project I made using this darling deer:  Oh Deer!

And last but not least, this is the snuggly Polar Bear.  He even comes with a santa hat!

Be sure to sign up for the Dies R Us newsletter so you'll be the first to be notified of their special order events as well as other great sales.

I hope you're inspired by today's project.  Don't forget to join in on all the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

12 Kits of Occasion ~ December

Good morning ~  It's that time once again for the big reveal of the 12 Kits of Occasion cards for the month of December.  This month our hostess was Tracey McNeely of In My Creative Opinion and I must say that Tracey totally outdid herself with this adorable kit just filled to the brim with feminine sweetness. Everything in this kit was new to me and I had so much fun creating with it.  Thanks Tracey!

Before I get started, I want to let you all know that Jeanne (our Jan. 2018 hostess) is giving away one of her {Snow Day} kits! All you have to do is leave a comment on the 12 Kits blog! USA destinations only please so you have time to receive the kit and play along.
Tracey had three pretty flowing dress images in the kit and all I could think of was seeing them through the window at a fancy boutique so that's the direction I went with this card.
A better angle to show you the depth of this card with the pink striped awning.

As always, Tracey has flawless taste in color and style.
I had a hard time cutting into this printed paper she sent.  I wanted to hoard it all!
You can find the complete list of products Tracey sent and see how my team mates used Tracey's sweet kit over at the 12 Kits of Occasion blog.  Don't forget to leave a comment on the 12 Kits blog for your chance to win next month's kit.  I just know it will be fabulous!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Hello frosty friends~  We've been waking up to -24 degrees below zero for the last two mornings. Brrrrr....  Perfect weather for hibernating inside and playing in my craft room with some new stamps and dies.
This darling snow couple is from Avery Elle Frosty Friends.  Are they adorable or what??  The Poppystamps Stitched Majestic Mountains in the background were perfect for this warm wintery scene.

I colored this fella slightly different, adding Frantic Stampers Birch Tree Forest in the background.  Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes always adds a nice snowy base.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Work It Wednesday ~ Something NEW
Time Out Challenges ~ New Beginnings
Double D Challenges ~ Baby It's Cold Outside
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

I am also having a giveaway for this stamp set as I was sent two by accident when I ordered and they said I could re-gift it.  How awesome is that?  Leave a comment to win!  I'll pick a winner on January 7th!

Stay warm, my friends!
