ECD June Designer Challenge ~ Anything But A Card

Hello~  It's the first Tuesday of June so that means it's time for a new challenge over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
This month's challenge is to create anything but a card so the project I'm sharing with you today is an elegant pillar candle holder that I made when I first joined the ECD Design Team but never got around to publishing.

I started by cutting 4 of the Lace Pockets out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock.  Score along the fold lines.  This lace pocket is so elegant and cut perfectly with one pass through my die cutting machine.  These are great to use on cards and scrapbook layouts as well.

Apply Clear Double Sided Adhesive along each side of the pockets and adhere them together, forming a box.  Gently slide the base down inside the box.  This helps keep the shape and makes the holder very sturdy.

Next, I cut a Scalloped Heart out of White Soft Finish Cardstock and a Lace Heart out of Lady Bug Red Soft Finish Cardstock and layered them.

I cut some Dogwood flowers, colored them with copics, molded them with a molding tool and assembled them.

and layer the branch over the heart
 and adhere the flowers.

The perfect size for three battery operated flickering candles.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and will take the time to check out today's challenge over at Elizabeth Craft Designs to see everyone else's projects and your chance to win.

For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away .... two sizes of the Clear Double Sided Adhesive which will include: a pack of the 5” x 12” sheets and a 10 mm roll of tape, in addition we will also give away a pack of the new ModaScrap 12” x 12” Viaggi Vintage Patterned Paper Pack to 3 winners.

To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us "Besides the classic card, what are some project ideas you like to play around with?
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Birgit, you are always thinking "outside the box" and come up with the most creative ways to use dies. This is so delicate looking. Thanks for the share and introducing me to some new dies that will go on my wish list.

Birgit, this is a wonderful project and you shared how you made it so nicely !
I had to have the mini set from Papertrey Ink thanks to you! I love Still Life Summer .... I can't believe you made so many for the kits not that simple to stamp all the layers so I thank you again! 😊
