Winter Robin

Hello there and happy December!  I love to feed the birds and watch their fun antics at the feeders.  My three kitties like to sit at the window and watch them too.  We call it "Cat TV"!    Today's card looks like a scene I'd see out my window on a cold winters day.

I started by cutting a Dee's Distinctively Pine Sprig Frame out of olive green cardstock.

I  rubbed some Crushed Olive Distress Ink and Ripe Avocado ink to add depth and interest.

I mounted that onto a water colored panel and then mounted it onto an A2 sized white card base.

Next, I cut the Dee's Distinctively Winter Robin out of white cardstock and added color using distress inks.

Once the bird was assembled, he perched himself onto the pine branch.

Here's the dies I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

I had never seen either of these dies by Dee's Distinctively; must be they didn't jump out at me until seeing them on your card just now. Perfect combination of the two and your robin is colored so realistically. The blue background finishes the card beautifully. Your cats are lucky you provide entertainment for them.

I woke to a Winter Wonderland this morning, Birgit! I'm hoping all of our Bluebirds haven't flown away!
OH this gorgeous fella could easily be a Bluebird, couldn't he?
A really lovely card, and scene!
