Octoberfest ~ Double D Challenge

Good morning, friends ~ There's a new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenges and the theme is "Octoberfest".
My inspiration came from the bottom right corner, the bouquet with pumpkins.

I dug very deep into my older supplies to make this card.  The scalloped die cut panel is from Martha Stewart.  I stenciled the background using a basket weave stenci  and added a very old die from Die-namites called Pumpkin Harvest.

I die cut the pumpkin harvest die three times and layered it to add a bit of dimension.  I colored the negative pieces with copics and added them to the bottom layer.

The piece of twine adds texture and finished it off nicely.

I hope you'll stop by Double D Challenges to see more inspiration from my talented teammates and join in on the fun.
Here's what you could win when you play along:

ETA:  I'll be entering this card into the new Stencil Fun Challenge, hosted by two ambitious crafters and dear friends, Darlene & Diane.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love the soft stenciled background, adds so much! The layered die cuts are awesome, and I adore the 'cornucopia' of assorted fruits and gourds, really fantastic! Martha....who doesn't love Martha lol When I purged my craft room years ago I kept all of her punches--couldn't part with them lol

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Birgit, and it reminds me that I still have a few of these die cuts that you sent me last year...need to dig those out and play!! Hugs. :0)

What a pretty die! I've been admiring it. Now I read it's an oldie Die-namites. I have a bunch of those, but not this one. Some oldies just get better. In your hands it looks brand new. Beautiful card, Birgit!

You have put a lot of detail into this sumptuous card and it shows. I love that you used some of those older stamps and dies. YOur softer colors are so pleasing too.

Well this is simply fabulous. I have that scallop punch and never think to use it any more. All my border punches have gone begging, and I don't know why. They are so much easier than dies. I love this card, you have used that old die cut perfectly. Really pretty, well done. Oh, and that stenciled background is perfect for the look too.

Beautiful stenciled background to showcase your beautiful bounty. The lacy edge looks beautiful on this card! Hugs ~ Lena
