Hey there crafty friend! I'm so glad you stopped in. Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Pretty Florals".
Now who doesn't have a ton of florals in their crafty arsenal??
My biggest dilemma for this challenge was deciding which floral set I was going to use.
I finally decided on the Rainboot Planter from Simon Says Stamp. I had just a few sheets left from Carta Bella's Spring Market Collection that needed to be used up and the rainboots on the printed paper went perfectly with these wellies.
I cut the wellies from a piece of printed paper from the pack and then paper pieced the flowers, which I colored with Copic markers. I laid the boots over a vellum overlay to soften the papers behind the boots.
Still trying to use up the last bits of paper, I made another card just like it.
The same but different. ;0)

Oh I adore this! That pretty Designer Paper paired with your wellies and tulips are gorgeous! This just screeeeaaams SPRING! (hope our gardens hear it!) I just planted 16 trays of seeds, wish me luck lol
OH MY STARS!!! How adorable are both of these cards! LOVE the boots and paired with that perfect background paper ... WOWZA! I would love to have a boot full of yellow tulips on my table right now! LOL Beautifully done my friend!!
Awesome cards Birgit!! I love those wellies and the dsp too! In fact I think I have some of that dsp with the boots somewhere amongst my vast collection of papers that I never seem to get around to using...YAY to you for using it and so beautifully too! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
These are delightful! Who wouldn't want to wear a pair of cute boots like those! I remember using that paper collection for one of my Twelve Kits!
This is so darn cute, Birgit! I need those leafy wellies! Love how you've used your paper, and I admire that you've actually finished off a collection. I've only done that maybe two or three times EVER. And such pretty paper it is! All your cards are beautiful and fun!

There is nothing more Spring that a pair of Wellies! I wish I had some to actually wear. You filled yours with beautiful spring flowers and very nice touch. matching background is perfect.
These are so adorable, I love everything about them. The background patterned paper is perfect, really makes that focal pop. Your cards are very dear, well done!!!
Oh my goodness these are just too cute, I love the pattern you chose for the wellies and the papers to go with them are just perfect. Such pretty flowers to use for inside the boots :)

Fantastic cards, Birgit! I love this CB collection and ordered 2 of them. Still using up bits and pieces. The wellie images are my favorite. You chose a perfect flower image to pair with them. Love the different backgrounds too but I think I like the black newsprint best. Both make me want to play in my flower garden
