Sunflower Postage

Hi friends ~ I'm bringing you a little sunshine with this bright and cheerful sunflower postage card featuring Sunflower stencils from Waffle Flower.

I honestly can't get enough of all these fantastic WF stencils!  For it's first use, I stenciled both the rectangle and the circle images not knowing if I'd use them both on a single card, but as you can see I did.

I don't have the coordinating dies for this set, but I found that the Elizabeth Craft Designs postage stamp fit the rectangle image perfectly.  I also rummaged through the circle dies and found this Stitched Pinked Circles from Impression Obsession that fit pretty well.

I used the WF postage stamp stencils around the edges of an A2 card base, giving it the look of an air mail envelope and then stamped a couple of the postage stamp images from their postage stamp set.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
A Cut Above ~ Anything Goes September

I hope this is Clean and Simple enough for the CAS Mix Up Challenge ~ Sunflowers.  If not, I'm sure they'll let me know.

Time Out Challenge ~ Seasonal Colors Where You Live

I chose these colors because we've had beautiful blue skies to set off the lovely yellow sunflowers growing in our garden right now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birgit, I sure wish I could see your garden again - one day? This darling card is I'm sure a good representation of its colors! I love that you found such a fun way to use both images!

Gosh, Birgit, your love of these postage stencils is evident in the beautiful card you made here! I love this larger size with the shapes you cut, and the postmarks stamps, and I think the airmail border stencil is the coolest thing! It would be lovely if postage stamps were 50 cents again, sheesh. I remember when they were much less than that. I was rather shocked when I restocked my supply recently and found that 1 ounce Forever stamps are now 82 cents! They can't stop us from making and sending cards, though. Someone is going to love receiving this one!

Beautiful! What a wonderful design you created with the postage die and stencil set from WF. Sunflowers are such a happy flower and you've shaded them perfectly. I love the stenciled border and that pinked circle die is amazing. Great way to highlight a single bloom. Thanks for sharing with the September Challenge at A Cut Above.

Gorgeous use of this set. I love it paired with the blue, too. It so reminds me of the airmail envelope letters that I used to receive from my family back in the day. Thank you for that memory and thank you for sharing this beauty with us at Time Out this week
