Dies R Us ~ Holly Jolly Christmas Button Card

Good morning friends.  I love looking at vintage button cards on Pinterest and I equally enjoy making my own button cards.  (See this post HERE) Today's card uses Poppystamps Frosty Snowflake Buttons, however there are so many wonderful BUTTON DIES is the store, the possibilities for cards and projects are endless!  They are ALL are oh, so adorable!!

I started by cutting the snowflakes and Poppystamps Stitched Holly Leaves and Berries out of white and aqua mist colored card stock.
I cut some Poppystamps Main Street Pinpoint Tags out in various sizes and colors of card stock.  I often do this when I don't know exactly how my project is going to play out.  This gives me options to play around with.  Whatever I don't use, I use on future projects.
I layered the snowflake buttons and attached them to the smaller white Main Street Pinpoint tag to create the button card.  Some PTI  button stamps were used to create the button tag as well.

I added the holly leaves and berries to the sentiment banner at the top and some bakers twine to finish this off.

Here's a list of all the dies I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

    Celebrate YOU!

Good morning~ I'm popping in to share a card I made for the Seize The Birthday Challenge using a stencil and paired it with the Creative With Stamps Challenge to use a bird.

I used MFT's Stencil Grid to sponge in some color on the background and added a sweet little cardinal, complete with holly and berries from Top Dog Dies.  The sentiment is also from MFT but I don't remember the name of the set and I couldn't find it on their web site.  If anyone knows, leave the name in the comments and I'll be happy to edit this post giving proper credit to the set.

I'll also be adding this to the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #384 ~ A Color Challenge

Good Sunday morning friends ~ it's time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog and this week is a COLOR challenge using Turquoise, Gold and Midnight or colors like them.

Are you ready for the most beautiful cupcake inspiration ever?
I wouldn't even be able to bite into this as I'd want to keep it out on display for all to see.

This week's sponsor is the fabulous

and they are generously offering up a $20 gift certificate to their store to the winner so you'll definitely want to play along!

Mary, the owner of Serendipity Stamps also sent each of the design team members something to play along with from her store as well.  What a treat getting to play along using this fabulous Cupcake and Candle Die set.  Thank you so much Mary for your generous heart!

So without any further rambling, here's my card:
I started by cutting the cupcake and candle die out twice, once from Gold card stock and once from white card stock.  I colored the white pieces in using Copic markers as a whole die and then adhered the gold outline on top of both.  I then cut a Cherry Lynn Mexican Tile Pattern out of turquoise colored card stock and adhered the cupcake and candle to the center.  I made this into an easel card by scoring the front of the card base in half and adhering the tile on only the bottom portion of the folded card front.
For the inside, I added a piece of plaid patterned paper and a piece of white card stock that had been cut using a Simon Says Stamp "On Edge Thank You" Die.  I colored the "thank you" letters using copics as well.
See how the die cut words hold the easel card in place?  Isn't that wonderful!!
The sentiment is from PTI's Just Desserts.

Be sure to visit each of the design team members blogs to what they've done with this amazing inspiration and be sure to give them some love while you're there.  Everyone loves to get encouraging comments!

Day 7 ~ 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Good morning friends~  I've got tags for day #7  of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
I was inspired by Tracey's water colored mason jar snow globe on day#7 but when I went back to the post this morning, that tag is gone and there's a different one in it's place.  Anyway, that's where my Mason Jar Snow Globe Tags come from.  Most of the products are from PTI.
with the exception of this cute little elephant from WPlus9.  I added a hat, snowflakes and little cardinal from Top Dog Dies.

I was having so much fun with these Mason Jars, I just couldn't stop making them using the Petite Places from PTI.  These are a combination of Tracey's and Kitty Carocciolo's little village tag from day 7.

Day 6 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Here's a tag for day #6 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

I was inspired by Lindsey_mp's penguin tag.  I've been seeing a lot of cute little penguins each day in the lineup of tags so today is my turn to use one.  This little guy is from MFT's Penguin's In Paradise and he looks like he's totally feeling the Christmas spirit.  The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiments.

Here's a card I made last year on the same idea.
