I'm Here For You

Good morning~ A little bit of cuteness to share with you today using some fabulous new stamps and dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I had a request to make 50 cards for a gal who sends cards to people who are sick and battling cancer.  She wants the cards to be positive and uplifting.  I hope this card will do just that.  With that being said, you'll be seeing a lot of these types of cards on my blog in upcoming posts as I create and share.

Honey Bear is so adorable trying to reach for his morning helping of honey.  "I'm here for you" to help in you in any way I can!

I did some ink smooshing and cut the panel out using Fitted Hearts and then overlayed the Entwined Hearts because they remind me of twiggy vines.
Honey Bear is colored using Copics and the sentiment is stamped on a Stitched Fishtail Banner.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Elizabeth Craft Designs February Challenge ~ In Stitches

Good morning friends~ It's time for a new Designers Challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs.
This month's theme is "In Stitches" ~ feature any of the stitched dies on your card/project this month. Decorate your card with anything else you like.

I started with an A2 sized Z-fold card and added a Dotted Scallop Rectangle in kraft and a Stitched Rectangle in a rose pattern on the inside of the card.  It makes such a pretty backdrop peeking through from the front of the card.
I then cut two Stitched Hearts out of Pale Peach Soft Finish Cardstock and a set of Leaf & Berry Branches out of Olive Twist Soft Finish Cardstock. I layered the Stitched Hearts and branches onto the front of the card, using a foam square behind the smallest stitched heart to give it dimension.  I added a bit of pink liquid pearl onto the berry portion of the branches.

The "Hugs" sentiment is cut using Love Sentiments, from white card stock with a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive stuck to the top.  I ran it through my die cutting machine, peeled off the release sheet and rubbed on some Antique Silver Silk Microfine Glitter to add a bit of elegance and sparkle to the card.

To make this challenge even more fun,   Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away several stitched die sets (Stitched Hearts, Fishtails, Squares, Rectangles, Ovals and Circles) to 3 people!

To enter, simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge blog post and tell us "What designer challenge would you like to see in the future?”

We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.

The winners will be announced on Friday, February 10 on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.

I hope you'll join in on this fun challenge over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog!

Dies R Us ~ Hello Baby

Hello ~  It's my turn to post over at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog and I've got a cute baby card using some cute dies from Die-Versions.

I started by coloring a piece of water color card stock using Ken Oliver's Color Burst Powders in Lemon Yellow and Ultramarine Blue.  Once it was dry I cut the Die-Versions Whispers Moon & Cloud along with a couple of extra stars from the set.
Next I cut some Frantic Stamper Stitched Cloud Edgers out of white card stock and layered them over a standard A2 sized card with a piece of fun blue gingham beneath the clouds.
I cut this adorable Die-Versions Whispers Teddy Bear out of kraft card stock and added a tiny little punched heart.  The die has openings so you can trace in his eyes and nose using a black marker before removing the die cut.  So easy!!  I also cut the word "Baby" using Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Baby out of the left over blue colored water color card stock.

I stamped the "hello" to finish off the sentiment.  The individual stars are popped up using foam squares.

Here's a list of dies I used that you can find right now at Dies R Us.
Die-Versions - Whispers - Moon & Cloud   Die-Versions - Whispers - Teddy Bear   Die-Versions - Sweet Wordlets - Baby  Frantic Stamper - Dies - Stitched Cloud Edgers

Wishing You Sunshine!

Good morning friends~  I'm popping on with a quick post using a card I made a while back but never got to posting.  It fits in perfectly with several animal challenges going on right now.

Would a pig in a basket bring a smile to your face?  I think he carries his own sunshine in his heart.
I created a background scene using a few different stitched landscape dies and added a couple of Spellbinders ferns and this sweet little piggie from Marianne Designs.  The basket that he's stuffed in (and I mean stuffed!  Have you ever tried to fit a pigs bottom into a tiny basket?) is an oldie from Quickutz.  The apples and bee are also Quickutz.

Here are the challenges that I'll be entering this card in:
Use Your Stuff ~ While the Cat's Away...
Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Animals
