Altenew Academy ~ Day 3 & 4

I've just completed day 3 & 4 of Altenew's Academy Stunningly Simple Watercolor Techniques.
Day three's lesson was watercoloring embossed images.

I got PTI's Botanical Blocks before Christmas and hadn't inked it up yet, and this image just begs to be watercolored.
I used Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral and Orange Marmalade for the flowers and Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint on the leaves. I kept dropping in Abandoned Coral to the bottom of the petals because I wanted them to have rich color. I really like the combination of colors and how they blended.
I also did up another card using Vintage Linens.

This was inspired from a design by Heather Nichols and I just love how it came out!

Day four brought me "no line watercoloring". This one I still need lots of practice on. ;0)

Another PTI set here, Vintage Linens. I'm not too sure how I feel about this one and it almost ended up in the trash. I decided to let it dry and move forward with the card making. In the end I decided I could live with it. It's definitely a technique I need more practice on.

Thanks so much for stopping in to take a peek at day 3 & 4!
Blessings~ Birgit

Wow, you did a beautiful job with both of these techniques. I am struggling with the no line class. I have one to finish up but it is not great.

Birgit, another awesome set of cards...I said the same thing abut my no line card, maybe we are just more critical of our own, because I think yours looks fabulous, really!! And I think I will try this with that flower too!!
