12 Kits of Occasion ~ June

My how quickly time flies!  It's the end of June already so that means it's time for the 12 Kits of Occasion gals to post their cards.  Witty and incredibly talented Michele Ferguson of I Card Everyone is our hostess this month with her darling kit entitled "sum-sum Summertime"

Everything in this kit was new to me and I had so much fun coloring the fun images and using this darling kit.  Thanks so much Michele! 

 Lets start with these darling  band playing - marching bunnies from MFT's Strike Up the Band.

Are they cute or what??

 These Waffle Flower characters all running to the beach make me giggle.  

 And who can resist the big floppy ears on this flying fella from The Cat's Pajama's.

These papers Michele included in the kit were just meant for this quick and easy card.

I still have lots of images and leftovers to make more fun cards with inspiration from my teamies.

Sand, Surf, Sun! Summertime fun with TupeloDesignsLLC

 Are you familiar with Whimsy Stamps?  Seriously, they have the cutest line of critters doing the most amazing things!  

 This Penguin Beach Chair image is just soooooo fun!  I colored him up using Copics, fussy cut him and then added the scene in the background using dies.   

The waves are cut using Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Border Die.  After they were cut, I blended some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of each layer.  The beach sand is cut using Lawn Fawn Garden Border Die.  This die isn't just for creating gardens.  As you can see in the photo, it makes great beach sand too!

Surf, Sun, Summertime Fun! ~ PTI Make-it Monday

Hello~~  I'm popping in with a quick card I just finished for Lexi's Make-it Monday Challenge over at PTI, using "Inchies".  

What a fun technique and so quick to make!  I used images from Some Like It Hot and a heat embossed sentiment from On The Wagon.  

I added score lines above and below the inchies and sentiment to help them stand out more.

Tupelo Designs ~ Peace Dude!

Hello friends.  It's Thursday and that means it's my turn to post for TupeloDesignsLLC.

One of the fun sets I chose from their store is from Your Next Stamp "One In A Chameleon".  This peace loving guy stole my heart!  There's two chameleon images to choose from in the set and it also has a paint splatter image, which I used here with some tropical colors from Altenew  ~ "Bamboo" from the Tropical Forest collection, "Ocean Wave" from Cool Summer Night collection and Fresh Lemon" from Pocket Full of Sunshine collection.

I cut three graduating sizes of Stitched Octagon Layers from Memory Box and popped them up using Scotch Pop-Up Foam Squares.

This card will be donated along with many other uplifting cards to Cards for Little Hearts.  Christina Hor is the founder of this wonderful organization that gives loads of cards to Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.  This is very near and dear to my heart since my son Christopher was a Children's Miracle Network child when he was an infant, born with a heart disorder.  He spent several weeks in the NICU starting when he was just 16 days old. 

He is now a healthy 26 years old.  Praise God!

Hello crafty friends.  I love summers in Maine and spending time at the ocean, although I feel like I don't get there enough.  Dies R Us is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Summertime Fun".

 I used Memory Box Seaside Treasures, Impression Obsession Beach Fence, Small Grass, Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles and Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen.

Seas The Day

I love sitting on the beach, just watching the waves and soaking up the sunshine.  This image from Penny Black "Beach Baby" is so adorable and fun to color.

 This stamp is one that I chose for my design team spot for TupeloDesigsLLC.  They have all the Penny Black stamps and at really great prices! 

   

 I colored her up using Copics and added the scenery in the background.  I used a white gel pen to mark in some waves and the surf coming up on the shore.

The sentiment is from Stampendous "Ocean Wisdom".

Water Colored Floral Bouquet

Hello friends.  I've paired up Altenew's Watercolor Stripes Cover Die with Avery Elle's Floral Bouquet stamps and dies to create my first project for TupeloDesignsLLC. 

I started by cutting the Watercolor Stripes die out of Canson Watercolor Paper and did an ombre wash using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I stamped the Avery Elle Flowers onto watercolor cardstock and colored them using the Ziggies.  I die cut them out using the coordinating die and set them aside to let the pieces dry.

  

Once the flowers were dry, I added some sparkle to the centers using a Nuvo Glitter Marker fromEmber Glow.  I LOVE these glitter markers!!

I mounted everything onto a piece of glitter paper from my stash and stamped the sentiment from the Floral Bouquet.

Sweet Dreams

Hello friends~  There's a new challenge starting today at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and the theme is "Sunshine or Clouds".

 In my mind clouds can be cheerful, as in the case of this cute card with leaping lambs.  The stitched clouds are so sweet!

I used Sue Wilson "Twinkle Twinkle Cloud & Stars" and "Sweet Dreams Little One"  I also used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles and Ranger Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick.
