Good morning everyone... I thought it was time to update my blog with a new post. I have no good excuses for being absent from my blog other than that I've been taking a bit of a crafty break and doing other things. What kinds of things do you find inspiration in, other than online?
I picked up three of these sweet journals at TJ Maxx, along with a set of three coordinating pens and was inspired by the colors and design to create 3 gift sets. I found this beautiful scripture card online that almost matches the book perfectly and printed them out so I could tuck one into the card or book. I often like to include scripture cards into birthday cards to encourage and lift someone's spirits.
Here are two of the cards that I made to go along with the journals. I used lots of PTI products on these. Gran's Garden, Boutique Borders for the frame and one of the detailed layers from Sweet Life for the background.
I just love how everything goes together perfectly.
This set was sent to a very, very dear friend of mine to celebrate her birthday. I gave another set to one of the ladies at my Bible study who I noticed was writing prayer requests on paper napkins. Of course, hers didn't include a birthday card. Just the book, pen and scripture card. She loved it!
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
PTI Win It Wednesday ~ Favorite Florals
The Flower Challenge ~ Latest stamps or dies
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by!

What a beautiful gift! I love the coral/teal color combo on your gorgeous cards!
My beautiful card is on the mantle and the journal is waiting for the weather to cooperate so I can have bible study again...we've missed 3 weeks in a row now because of the nasty weather here...grrrrr!! And the little card is sitting right on my desk in front of me to remind me daily of who I am and whose I am! Such a sweet and thoughtful gift my friend and your cards are absolutely GORGEOUS!! :0)
Oh how pretty! I like the tone on tone flowers stamped in the background and the borders of PP. Wonderful gifts Birgit!
Two fabulous cards Birgit and beautiful sets. We are starting into round two of the snow. It is coming down so hard. So beautiful but we don't like to drive in it.
A beautiful gift idea and wonderful floral designs.
these are just beautiful and make great gifts too, I bet your friend at bible study was happy not to have to write on napkins anymore!
Beautiful floral cards, just stunning!
