12 Kits of Occasion

Good morning everyone!  It's time for another 12 Kits of Occasion post.  I can't believe how quickly time flies when you're having fun!  This month our hostess with the mostest was Sharron Gregory from Papillon Wings.  I had the opportunity of meeting Sharron twice, once when we were in Kansas and then when she and her sweet hubby Harry came to Maine for a vacation.  She is the easiest and most lovely person to talk with and I adore her!  Anyone who knows her knows she loves animals and being that I'm an animal lover too, I enjoyed hearing all her stories about the volunteer work she does at her local zoo and botanical garden.  Anyway, I could go on and on about our time together but I know you came to see cards.  Sharron put together a wonderful fall inspired kit titled "Autumn Days".  This kit is filled with the warmth of friendship and thanksgiving.  Thanks so much Sharron for this festive fall kit!
Sweet!  Right?  Here's the cards I've made so far using this kit.
I fell in love with this sweet Penny Black image, so this was the first image I grabbed to color up and bring life to.

And who can resist Stampingbella?  Not me!!  This giant pie girl just makes my heart smile.

There were so many beautiful printed papers in Sharron's kit.  I wanted to hoard them all.  And how about that giant acorn???  LOVE!!!   You can find a complete supply list over at the 12 Kits of Occasion blog.

I think this card is my favorite.  It was so quick to make using the adorable papers Sharon included in the kit.

I hope you'll stop by the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how my talented teamies were inspired to use Sharron's kit.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Simon Says Work It Wednesday ~ Autumn / Gratitude
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!

Five FABULOUS cards Birgit...you definitely did Sharron's kit proud!! Your coloring on the Penny Black and Stampingbella images is AWESOME...that pie looks SO real with all your shading on it!! And didn't you just LOVE that acorn?!! Sharron's papers were sooooo pretty and I can see you enjoyed using them as much as I did! Beautiful tribute to Sharron in your post too...she really is a sweetheart and so glad I got to meet her too while we were in Kansas! Hugs. :0)

Wow Birgit, your cards always put a big smile on my face. I am so glad now that I didn't colour that sweet PB girl--yet love how you cut the end of the rake! Your pie seriously looks ready to eat, I still have whipped cream in the fridge from our thanksgiving so bring it on over! Adding all the framed elements add so much interest to your cards. All so lovely, happy fall!

All are so wonderful, Birgit! I'm so glad you enjoyed the kit. The little girls (SB & Penny Black) are my favorites. You did such an amazing job coloring them. The pie looks awesome - and so yummy. I loved the clever way you cut the rake! and the fun way you added the critter scene on your last card. Fabulous coloring on your turkey too!

Birgit, your cards are all wonderful! I love all your coloring, and that pie crust is fantastic! Great idea pairing wood grain with the acorn, and your last card is as sweet as it gets! It's so fun to come over to see how you use your kits!
