Recee's Halloween Treats ~ Dies R Us

Hello stamplings ~  There's a new challenge starting up today over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and the theme is "Halloween".

When I was a little girl going trick or treating around our neighborhood on Halloween, I couldn't wait to get home to see how many Recee's Peanut Butter Cups I got.  I would trade my other candy with my sister for her Recee's.  These are still my favorite candy today and I've dressed some up for the occasion.  Plus, this project gave me the perfect excuse to buy some!

The candy wraps are made using black cardstock, which I cut to length, scored and glued together in the back.  I added a piece of orange and black patterned paper to the front panel on each.  The medallions are made using Impression Obsessions Stitched Pink Circles and Elizabeth Craft Designs Fitted Circles.

I added a different Halloween image to each of the three medallions.  The black cat and the witch are from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Haunted House set and the ghost is from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Ghosts set.

The spider web banner in the background is cut using Impression Obsessions Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banners.  I layered a smaller MFT Blueprints banner over the top and stamped the sentiment onto a Sizzix Ornate Label.

Each of the treats are tied with black tulle, which I then added a little spider charm from Frantic Stamper Cute Halloween Icons.  I simply punched a hole using a hole punch into the top of the spider and tied it on with some black and white bakers twine.

These fun little treat wraps came together so quickly!  And now that this post is completed, one of them disappeared just as quickly.  ;0)
You can find all the details and join in on the fun by clicking here.  You could be the next winner of a DRU Gift Certificate!

I wanted to remind you that we have some exciting news to share with you.  Dies R Us now has opened a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!  We'd love for you to visit by clicking on the links above or by clicking here.

Thanks for stopping by!

These are so fun and cute and creative, I need to make some of these for the grands! My bog thing at Halloween was one of the neighbors used to make the neighbor kids only caramel apples, you sure couldn't do that now! You should enter our challenge at {Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge}
