Lily Of The Valley ~ Double D

Greeting friends!  Double D Challenges is at it again with a new challenge.
Theme:  May's Birth Flowers
(Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn)
and Birthstone is Emerald
Be inspired by any of the three.

I pulled out this sweet Lily Of The Valley die from Frantic Stamper.

I mounted this delightful spring flower onto a stitched scalloped oval from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  There's a bit of distress ink rubbed around the stitched oval to add some contrast. The background embossing folder is "Garden Harmony" from Altenew.

The sentiment banner is from Simon Says Stamps, which was gifted to me by my dear friend Marcia.  Super cute!

My hope is that you'll visit the Double D Challenge blog and see how the amazing design team was inspired by the photo prompt:

 Thanks for stopping by!

One single die makes a beautiful card. I like the embossed background.

I love the soft colors of your background with that lovely embossing. I noted the linen look of your oval where you place the lily of the valley. This card is so classy a wonderful job.

If you could see the mass of Lily of the Valley I have in my front yard, you'd know how much I absolutely LOVE this flower! It is a little invasive, but I still love seeing it come up every Spring! The smell alone is worth it! Your card is absolutely beautiful Birgit! I love how you've framed out the flower on the oval and that beautifully embossed background finishes off this card so perfectly! Love the sentiment too and so glad you like it too!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

"Sweet" is what came to mind at first sight! Love this pretty die, and so lovely the way you framed it with the scallops against the embossing. What a beautiful, soft green that is. Like a melt in your mouth mint!

Such a dear card. Lily of the Valley reminds me of my Grammie. She always had a huge bunch of it on her dining room table. I must get that die, you have used it beautifully.
