Double D Challenge is up with a new challenge, and the theme is Fall Leaves.
I happily pulled out some older sets to make this card. I started by embossing the front panel using the Falling Leaves embossing folder from Spellbinders, which just happens to be the prize that we're giving away to the winner of this challenge. I cut a piece of journal cardstock using a Stitched Scalloped Nested Rectangle from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped a leafy image from PTI's Forest Floor, on the left side of the journal card.
The stamped sentiment is from Echo Park Fall Memories with the addition a trio of Small Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn cut from scraps found in my scrap box.
I can't wait to see how you're inspired by this wonderful mood board that Darlene put together.
Here's the prize you could win when you play along:
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful fall card and I especially love the polka dot leaf, so FUN!!
Great texture, love that scalloped and stitched die cut panel! Of course, beautiful Fall leaves and I adore that sentiment! Time to chop back and tidy up the gardens--well I will push it a few more weeks! :) I have an abundance of BIG orange/red Marigolds, want some seeds? I'll have a ton!
So pretty, Birgit! The pale blue makes the colors in the leaves pop. I love the scalloped-stitched nesting die. Beautiful leaves and the polka dots are so fun. Happy Fall to you and yours.
Love your falling leaves and the sentiment is perfect!
Yep, this card definitely says Fall Birgit! I love the embossed background and all your die cut leaves (especially the polka dotted one!!) and stamped ones too! And the sentiment is perfect!! Lovely, lovely Autumn card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
We don't have much color here yet, but there are some falling leaves! You had me with you sweet polka dot one. This is lovely, Birgit!
I love me some stitchy polka dot leaves! What a perfect arrangement representing the fall season. It's clever of you to think of stamping the leaves up the side. Lots of texture all the way through. So pretty!
I had to giggle when I read 'from my scrap box' as I also have a rake-full of these leaves residing in my snippets! Perfect time to put them to use, Birgit - you've done so really beautifully!

Such a sweet creation!! I love the textured background, and how you used that polka dot paper for one of the leaves. It really makes this card interesting. I loved the scalloped background panel too.
Beautiful card. Love the leaves
Such lovely layers of fall leaves, those stitched leaves are so pretty in all their different colors, we will be getting some fall temps next week and I can't wait!
