Warming Up with Hot Chocolate

One thing I enjoy about the arrival of cold weather is the perfect excuse it gives me to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in the middle of the afternoon.
I spent some time in my craft room making up all kinds of chocolate bars, sugar cookies and cocoa cups, all paper of course, in various colors and varieties.  I put together a number of festive Christmas cards to send out this year.

The main ingredient on these cards is the wonderful Hot Chocolate cup from Elizabeth Craft Designs

It's a generous sized cup complete with candy canes, marshmallows and even a snowflake.  So sweet!  I made the chocolate bars using a die from Honey Bee StampsPocket Full of Love and the "sweet" stamp from My Time To Craft.  This star shaped sugar cookie is from PTI.

I created this sugar cookie using a scalloped circle die, cutting a small heart die from Pocket Full of Love, out of the center.  I added a bit of distress ink to the edges to give it the look of a cookie, baked fresh from the oven.   I colored the center shape, glued it to a solid scalloped circle and sprinkled a bit of glass glitter to look like sugar.  I then popped the top layer of the cookie over it using dimensional adhesive squares.

The cookie on this card was made using Chocolate by Marianne Designs Collectables.  The graham cracker is simply a scalloped rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

It wouldn't have been right for me not to make at least one card using some sort of vintage image.  I cut the vintage image using a label die from Stampin' Up!  and added it to the printed mug.  I love how it came out!

I hope you enjoy these cards.
I'll be entering one of these cards in to the following challenges:
