Sending Love ~ Hearts ~ Double D Challenges

Happy February friends!  I'm super excited that February has arrived!!  It's the month that we celebrate my daughter's birth (she's turning 29 this year) and it means we're one month closer to spring.  To ring in the first of the month, Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today with a heart theme.

I was crunching time when I made this card, using 6"x6" papers from Carta Bella "My Valentine" collection.

I let the papers do all the work, using one of the images from the paper pack as the focal point.  If you're wondering where the hearts are, look closely at the bottom of the image.  1.. 2.. 3... Three hearts!

A bit of bakers twine and some sequins add a bit of texture.  And just like that, my card was finished!

Come join in on the fun over at Double D Challenges.  Any project with a heart will be considered for the prize.

Here is your inspiration:

And here's the prize you could win when you play along:

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Valentine, Birgit. You've created a beautiful CAS card making the pretty papers do the work. The postage stamp die is one of my favorite. Happy Birthday to your daughter!

Awe what a sweet creation my friend! Who wouldn't love to open their mailbox to find a stack of LOVE come tumbling out! This is just adorable and love how you've staged your photo too.

How pretty and sweet this is, Birgit! I've been looking at this and wondering if it was a stencil or layering stamps, and now I learn it's the paper. I love it! Big designer paper fan here and it's sometimes fun to let the paper do the work. I do that, too. I spotted the hearts right away. It's all so cute!
