It's the first of the month so that means it's time for a new challenge over at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. This week the theme is "Bright Colors". So fun!
I wanted to create a brightly colored bird and this Toucan from Dee's Distinctively Dies was just perfect! I cut the bird out of white cardstock and used Distress Inks to color him up. I used Copics on his beak.
I did the same process of cutting and coloring on the leaves using Dee's Distinctively Dies Trio Tropical Leaves as I did on the toucan. Some pretty patterned paper from Echo Park "Summer Fun" was used in the background that I cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Circles

WOW...you hit the nail on the head with the bright colors for this card Birgit! Your toucan is FABULOUS, and I can't believe he started out on white cardstock...you've colored him BEAUTIFULLY!! Loving all the tropical leaves too!! :0)
The black and white striped background really makes the rest of the card pop. I love the papers and that toucan makes me smile.
