Everything Is Coming Up Green ~ Double D Challenges

Good morning friends.  There's a new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenges and the theme is "Everything is Coming Up Green".  I took a little liberty here, but you'll see why when you get to the inspiration photo at the bottom of this post.

My card was made using all Papertrey Ink products.  The background is stamped using the Vintage Postage stamp.  I stamped the birthday sentiment using a very old, long retired stamp from PTI.

The bird is part of the Feathered Friends series.  I cut him out of white soft finish cardstock and added DOX inks using a blending sponge.  The flowers are from Gran's Garden.  Another oldie, but goodie!

Here's the photo to help inspire you:
If you want to know how I was inspired, take a look at the top left corner.  The adorable little kitty sitting in the tea cup with the purple wings and berries.  I used pink flowers in their place.

I hope you'll visit the Double D Challenge blog to see more wonderful inspiration  from our fabulous designers.

Here's what you could win if you play along:

Thanks for stopping by!

I have a weakness for link flowers and I think that yours add to this card. Your smart use of them is creative and wondrous.

I don't think you could have made a prettier card no matter how hard you tried. Flowers and a bird must be two of the loveliest creations ever, and in these spring colors presented so beautifully on your card they simply melt my heart.

Such a pretty card, beautifully colored. Lots going on here, but it all works perfectly together. And that sweet little bird as the focal is perfect.

Lovely, the sponging on the bird for shading is so pretty, I love how you have tucked her in those lovely flowers and such pretty detail in the die to frame it all!!
